Kirby: Triple Deluxe

I'm not super excited for this as I can't really see any new defining mechanics apart from getting attacked by background enemies.

Beetle is just ghetto Suplex to me. But like Unknown said, that clown/needle/parasol? enemy is... intriguing.

Also was that super inhale in the trailer activated by an item? Seems... a bit silly.

I have no idea whether this is true or not, but it appears as though it may replace the super powers from Kirby's Return to Dream Land. Maybe you can suck out the powers of regular objects? Or maybe that's Whispy Woods, and you can take the powers of bosses.

The new Kirby power-up looks cool and it looks like King Dedede has a mini-game mode.

There's that new bell power, I wonder what it does. Also, that rainbow move looks like it could be used to suck out boss powers, because it seems to be used during bosses in screenshots.

New gameplay footage! This game actually looks quite different than Kirby's Return to Dream Land though, it looks really creative. I like what's been shown. It looks to take good use of the 3D with the being able to shoot cannons on enemies in the background, and switching between layers.

So there a new villain once again and there's still no sign of Meta Knight.

Well, maybe he has his own game like King Dedede? Kirby games usually have a few sub-games, and I'm assuming the King Dedede part shown was one of them. Maybe there's another where you play as Meta Knight.

Kirby Triple Deluxe has a Kirby Fighters mode that lets you pick one of 10 copy abilities to use in a fight against another player's Kirby. This is multiplayer with other real players. Can also be played by itself. Also features Dededed's Drum Dash, which has Dedede as a main character in a rhythm adventure. This mode features several familiar tunes



I like the Kirby Fighters mode and the Dedede rhythm mode but, I wanted them to talk about the plot more. Also no date was given but, I think it will be out by the end of Spring.

The gameplay seems to be interesting, using some of the 3D perspective to interact with the background.

It sucks that they didn't announce a release date, but it's still nice to see a new trailer. Still looks amazing. Also, will Kirby Fighters be online?

Kirby fighters is local only.

Also King Dedede might be playable in the main mode.



If you stop the video at 2:48 you see a life bar by Dedede.

Well I'm going to make a guess and say you probably unlock King Dedede in the main mode once you complete his sub-game. And maybe you can unlock Ghost Kirby when you complete Kirby Fighters because Kirby turned into a ghost in the footage shown of it.

Also that looks like a cool new version of Whispy Woods at the end. I like how they're changing it up a bit. Maybe he can move around this time?

So the game is out in Japan tomorrow, with still no announcement for the North American release. I'm predicting a Nintendo Direct on Wednesday, so perhaps if there is one, they'll announce it then. But I certainly hope it releases by the end of February, I don't want to wait too long after Japan for this.

In case you didn't watch that Nintendo Direct a few days ago, Kirby Triple Deluxe will be releasing on May 2nd alongside Mario Golf: World Tour. Yet it released in Japan in January. Nintendo really needs to take a shorter amount of time to localize some of their games, there can't be much to translate or fix for an outside of Japan release.
