Stuck in ROCK gym in Y.

How the seven pits of HADES do you beat this rock gym? My team seems to be atrocious SIRS|madams. Any tips or hints? ;D

The one where you're climbing around on the rocks near the beginning of the game? Or is it the eighth one in Snowbelle City which I haven't even played yet? Not sure how to help you there unless I know what it is that you're stuck on...battling the trainers, or actually getting to the gym leader?

Depends on your problem & which gym you're having issues with.. Rock type are weak against grass & water type. You might want to spend some time battling trainers until you think your ready & just try again otherwise.

Set off he sprinklers. that's what Ash did in the TV show.

Zero & Queen: The rock gym with the guy who has all the rocks in his hair that's standing up & junk. He's taken out my party twice now.

Oh. Then I haven't played this gym yet, unless I just don't remember it. XD If he's only using rock type Pokémon, then I think Queen's suggestion is good. Use grass and water types against him. If you don't have any...there's always the trading feature in the game. :3

I suggest getting a fishing rod from an npc in the game; then go fishing for a Lovedisc & then trade it to an npc trainer in the game for a Lapris. Take the Lapris & train it by battling other trainers you may have missed in the area; or just go ahead & head to the next area & train it around there. Once you think your ready head over & take him on again. You should defeat him then.

If all else fails; & you can't get the Lapris try Zero's route. ;3

I think you mean Water.... Also, Steel, Ground, and Fighting are also good against Rock.

^ Oh, yeah, water types. I'll edit my post, but you SHOULD NOT use fire types against his Pokémon, as they ARE NOT very effective against rock types.

You get a Steelix in the trade in that trade. Anyway were talking about the second gym right?
If so pick up a Pancham to take out the first Pokemon and a Floette for the second Pokemon just train them up a few levels. If you don't want to go back to get those Pokemon the Steelix will do just fine.

Thanks for the advice & tips all. I've been training my team since. I might try getting the Steelix/Lapris if I can catch what the trainer is looking for all.

Anyway, maybe it's my age and experience here but I didn't get stuck at all in this game, I actually felt it was the easiest.

I'll assume you're past this Gym now though. >u>
