Nintendo DS Games Coming to Wii U Virtual Console

I KNEW IT! Iwata at the investors' meeting today revealed that Nintendo DS games will soon be coming to Wii U Virtual Console. Both screens will be shown side by side on the Wii U Gamepad. Which is stupid, they should really make it so that the bottom screen is the whole Gamepad, and the top screen is the TV, but whatever, I suppose they don't have to worry about the resolution issues. I can't wait until this comes out. Also it might be hinting at new 3DS that no longer plays DS games.

Okay, so they've announced Game Boy Advance, Nintendo 64, DS, hinted at GameCube games, but when???

Exactly! They say they're going to add VC games for all of these consoles, then never wind up adding it. If they're going to announce that they're coming, then why not actually put them on there?

Nintendo is probably having licencing issues getting a few titles on the DS is what's holding them back is what I'd wager. It's the same problem Nintendo had when releasing older VC NES & SNES titles on the Wii before the WIi U launched.

I was kind of expecting that before the system came out, glad it's happening so that people can get older DS games again.
