Nintendo Cancels Virtual Console Trademark

Well, Nintendo must be insane or something, they have cancelled their trademark on Virtual Console.



So does this mean Nintendo is going to be stopping the Virtual Console service? Or could it just be something else unrelated? I find it very strange they'd do this...

Maybe Nintendo just hasn't had a chance to renew it's licence for that yet? For now I wouldn't worry about it. Nintendo is all about the money & if they want that money they'll get the licence for the VC name back some time very shortly is how I feel about it myself.

^ That could be, but wouldn't they have been able to do that before the license expired? It kind of makes no sense that they'd be given no chance to do so beforehand, but maybe they're just pending for a renewal or something. I guess you're right though, no reason to worry about it when they haven't even mentioned anything yet.

It could be that there changing the name or there going to bring it back to the Wii days where 4 or 5 games where added unlike the 1 or 2 that are released now. Anyway maybe the Direct will clear this up?

I doubt that the Direct will touch on this. If anything Nintendo likes to keep it's fans in the dark & feed it bullsh1t. xp
