Virtual Console Banner Removed from eShop

So remember when Nintendo cancelled their Virtual Console trademark a couple weeks ago? Well, they've now completely removed any signs of "Virtual Console" from both Wii U and 3DS eShop, including the big Virtual Console banner. (the games are of course still available, just without the words Virtual Console)

So I guess they're stepping away from Virtual Console and just calling them classic downloadable games now? It's very strange they'd do this, I knew something must've been up when they cancelled the trademark, but why not just keep calling it Virtual Console?...

Huh, oddish that. Who knows maybe it's all art of Nintendo's plan to reveal hat's coming after Club Nintendo is gone. *shrugs*

I really hope they don't stop releasing VC games...

^ They're not, if they were, they would've simply removed all of the VC games already. They just no longer own the Virtual Console trademark so they can't legally use it. They wouldn't stop releasing them when they just announced Wii games are coming to the Wii U eShop. (and if you notice, Iwata never called it Wii VC, just Wii games on the Wii U eShop)

I'm YouI think they just droped the name since Wii games don't fit in to the VC name.

Or maybe they change the name.
I just don't see why they would get rid of the name, it really caught on.

It's the end of an era you guys. It's time for the new stuff of the future that Nintendo has planned to come to fruition.
