Re: NES Remix series
Doesn't that just make you wish you could sell downloaded games? XD I kind of wish you could do that and get half the money back that you spent on a downloaded game though, since you can't just sell it.

Re: NES Remix series
Here's some reviews.
Destructoid
NES Remix 2 is a solid follow-up with more "must have" games and a few extras to sweeten the deal. If you passed due to the ho-hum nature of some of the titles in the original offering, think about checking it out this time around.
Examiner
NES Remix at its core is also a game that doesn’t appear to be one that is supposed to be played for hours at a time. NES Remix 2 is designed so people can pick it up, play it for 20 or 30 minutes and when they grow tired of it, can put the controller down without losing anything close to losing their spot.
Nintendo Insider
NES Remix 2 proves itself as a concept that should definitely continue, and one that we hope steers itself into Super Nintendo territory.
NintendoWorldReport
While there are a few less than stellar games among the mix of new titles, it’s hard not to recommend NES Remix 2. The few menu hiccups and mediocre games aside, it breathes new life into some of the most iconic NES titles of all time. Both hardened old-school gamers and neophyte youngsters should have a great time on the couch passing the controller around with this one.
USGamer
I honestly am surprised that I didn't enjoy NES Remix 2 as much as its predecessor, but I suppose it makes sense. In the end, the whole thing feels like a spinoff of 9-Volt's stages in WarioWare Inc., a game built entirely around five-second fragments of other games. By and large, the titles and challenges that comprise NES Remix 2 simply don't lend themselves to that sort of processed repackaging. The end result is fun, but the first NES Remix is definitely the one to play.
The game sounds cool but, I won't get it until it's $10.

Re: NES Remix series
^ I won't get it until it's like, $5. Yeah, it's a very interesting idea and it looks really fun, but I feel like at $15 for some old NES games that are changed around a bit it doesn't make sense. It's just way too overpriced imo, but I'm sure it'll still sell well.
If the retail version comes to NA and I see a used copy for cheap, I'll purchase it then.

Re: NES Remix series
NES Remix 1 and NES Remix 2 will be coming to North America in physical form under the the name NES Remix Pack this holiday season.
I'm glad I did not download Remix 1 as my Club Nintendo gift now and I feel bad for anyone that did.
NES Remix Pack - a physical version of both #NESRemix and NES Remix 2 - is coming to stores this holiday season. http://t.co/w3WYQPG6IT

Re: NES Remix series
Yeah, they should've announced this before the Club Nintendo rewards were available. That's really unfair.
I called this happening, I'll definitely be getting it. Maybe for a cheaper price if I can find one...but it'll probably be a few months before I can. And I guess that adds an artificial "new" game to their holiday lineup for Wii U. Which is a good thing, they need as much as they can.

Re: NES Remix series
Here a new trailer for Remix Pack and a game like this is coming to the 3ds called Ultimate NES Remix
I don't think I will get Ultimate NES Remix but, I will get Remix Pack when it comes out.
PR email wrote: Ultimate NES Remix: This new Nintendo 3DS game will be available in stores and in the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS on Dec. 5 at a suggested retail price of $29.99. The game features rapid-fire challenges and mashups from a selection of 16 of Nintendo’s finest 8-bit games. Regional online leaderboards will let players see how they stack up against others in their area, and Championship Mode offers a series of challenges from three different games.
• NES Remix Pack: Wii U fans can also get into the 8-bit mix on Dec. 5, with a new game that combines the original NES Remix and NES Remix 2 games for Wii U into one package. NES Remix Pack will be available in stores at a suggested retail price of $29.99. Both NES Remix and NES Remix 2 games remain available in the Nintendo eShop on Wii U for $14.99 each.

Re: NES Remix series
Well that's surprising. What's weird is that the 3DS version seems to be the definitive version, right? I'll probably just get that one.

Re: NES Remix series
NES Remix Pack is really fun guys.
Both remixes are fun, Championship Mode is challenging and Super Luigi Bros. is fun too.

Re: NES Remix series
I was thinking about buying the game, but $30 is a bit much even for both NES Remixes. I'm probably going to see if I can find it at a store for a bit cheaper next year, after the whole holiday rush it could potentially be priced lower. The games look fun, but it just seems overpriced to me honestly.

Re: NES Remix series
Actually, it's really worth it in my opinion.
It's not too high or low.
Also, I have proof people would buy a Wii U for it.
When my sister went to Toys R Us with my dad to get the game, the cashier told them he was going to buy a Wii U to play the game. XD

Re: NES Remix series
I got the Remix pack when it came out and the only games I don't enjoy are Ice Climber and Clu Clu Land since It feels like you have no control.
I think the cashier also just wanted the game as a tie in until Zelda Wii U comes out.

Re: NES Remix series
@Luma
Just like the cashier told me the other week that he was going to buy a 3DS soon just for Pokemon ORAS when I bought Omega Ruby, maybe it just has something to do with nostalgia. XD He would probably buy some other games on Wii U too...
If you think it's worth the price, maybe I will go ahead and pick it up soon.
@Gameguy
Wow, you buy pretty much every single Nintendo game on launch day now. I don't know how you keep up with all of them. I'm glad you're enjoying it though.
