Year of Luigi Ends March 18th

Shigeru Miyamoto has stated in a Miiverse post that the Year of Luigi will be coming to an end on March 18th.



Personally I don't care just because there weren't really any good games for Luigi the entire year outside of Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. Plus it was pretty much just the Year of Mario with Luigi's name.

It had to end sometime and I thought it was okay, Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon was definitely the best part of it. Luigi got some spotlight at least.

I wonder of a new year will start up...
In my opinion Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon and Mario & Luigi Dream Team were the only actually good games.

It about time they ended the year of Luigi and I also think Dream Team and Dark Moon were the only good games during the year of Luigi. I think if they do a new year of character it will be Yoshi or DK.

But Dream Team was a Mario and Luigi game, see what I meant by just being yet another Year of Mario? Either way it was nice to see some Luigi stuff.

If I were to predict the next year of ___ character...I'd say Yoshi because of the 2 already announced Yoshi games, or Year of Pikmin because Miyamoto previously said there could be a Year of Pikmin in the future in an interview.

I figured the Year of Luigi had already ended!

I don't think it was quite bad as you made it out to be, Luigi got some noticeable attention. Isn't Dream Team about exploring Luigi's dreams but has a big focus on him?

It's like if Sega made the Year of Tails, I don't think you'd expect them to call the whole series "Tails" for a year. >u<

Anyway, I think Luigi got some good notice this year, there was New Super Luigi Brothers too, Dr. Luigi, and even Luigi Bros, Super Luigi Bros and Dr. Luigi. I think they done pretty good without bombing Luigi down our throats at all!
