^ Yeah lol. I don't see why Nintendo still won't just open their own online store in other regions and have Amiibo available on there, if they're having so many problems with retail. (they haven't even done this in Europe, where they DO have an online store)

Re: Amiibo
It seems like Nintendo of Spain has leaked the Super Mario amiibo of DK, Rosalina and Wario and could Xenoblade amiibo come at some point?

Again we knew about those 3 for weeks now and I'm sure there will be more more Super Mario amiibo later this year. As for Xenoblade amiibo they would be low stock if they ever become a thing those characters are not that popular.
Go Nintendo wrote:Earlier today, Nintendo of Spain sent out a press release about Mario Party 10. Within that press release was confirmation of 'Super Mario' amiibo for Rosalina, Donkey Kong and Wario. This would be the second instance of these amiibo being revealed, as we also covered similar news coming from the official Japanese site for Mario Party 10. Oddly enough, just hours after the press release came out, Nintendo of Spain posted a retraction. They said the listing of those three amiibo was a mistake. I'm thinking they really are out there, but they weren't meant to be revealed yet. Thanks to Oscar for the heads up!

It's been about a month since I posted. The Shulk amiibo came out! I've been supervising this since the early prototype stages, but I'd like to say thanks to all the people who've worked very hard on the amiibo. I saw a production model at the start of this month and I was very impressed with the build quality. This time it's a Smash Bros. figurine, but I'd love for there to be a Xenoblade [amiibo] series sometime in the future, too.

Re: Amiibo
I'd love if there were a Xenoblade Amiibo series, there's some cool characters they could choose to be part of it! Of course, they already have the Shulk Amiibo. Not sure what the use of the others would be. Maybe they could have Amiibo for the party members in Xenoblade Chronicles X, and let you instantly summon one of them to your party for backup.

Re: Amiibo
Nintendo Life put up this article about amiibo.
Some really sad stuff in there, I'm getting really annoyed hearing about people scalping Captain Falcon.

Re: Amiibo
It's said that there taking away something that a fan of the character or someone who just wants one for there collection could have.
Nintendo is also to blame since characters like Mac, Pit, Falcon, Lucario, Shulk, Meta Knight, Villager and more where low stocked since Nintendo did not think that people would buy them.

Re: Amiibo
^ That port strike is also partially to blame, Iwata said that it affected shipments of Amiibo, GameCube adapters, and New 3DS XLs. (which could be why standard New 3DS didn't release in NA?)
It sucks that scalpers are buying them all up, but at least some retailers are doing a 1-per-customer policy.

Re: Amiibo
Well the port strike has since come to an agreement with the workers & everything should be back in order with shipments going out & what not. sauce It's just going to take some time to get everything out. So my guess is we'll see an amiibo boom here in late March early April just in time to make the Easter gift demands for the kiddies. ;D

Re: Amiibo
Gold Mario is coming to NOA on March 20th.
I won't be getting this once and at least Walmart has been doing better lately since there the only store that has been stocking Sonic and Mega Man.
PR email wrote:Super Mario amiibo - Gold Edition available on March 20 exclusively at Walmart
REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Mario has always been golden in the minds of his fans. On March 20, Nintendo will launch the Super Mario amiibo—Gold Edition, a shiny gold-colored Mario figure that arrives on the same day as the Mario Party 10 game for the Wii U console. The Super Mario amiibo—Gold Edition will be sold exclusively at 3,000 Walmart stores in the U.S. at launch at a retail price of $12.96.
Nintendo’s amiibo are interactive toys that come to life in compatible games in different ways. This new golden figure represents the third Mario amiibo. The other two Mario amiibo are:
• The original ‘fireball’ Mario from the Super Smash Bros. series.
• A new ‘wave’ Mario from the Super Mario series available on March 20, for a limited time bundled only with Mario Party 10.
The new gold-colored Mario amiibo is compatible with multiple games that support amiibo. For example, Mario Party 10 features a new amiibo Party mode that players can only access by tapping their compatible amiibo figures on the Wii U GamePad controller to customize them and bring them into the game as board pieces. Players can also save items to their amiibo, then use them strategically. Or players can train their amiibo to supercharge its stats and expand its abilities in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U or Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. The full list of compatible games and amiibo can be found at http://www.nintendo.com/amiibo/compatibility.

Re: Amiibo
I'm never getting the Gold Mario Amiibo, but I guess it's good that it's releasing the same day as the other Mario Amiibo. But I still hope this means Female Robin is getting an Amiibo. (and He Fit Trainer I suppose)

No, in the US Queen.
It was Walmart Canada who said they wouldn't take pre-orders.
You got them mixed up.
