I'm glad it's not full price, the cheaper the better of course, I just hope it isn't lacking in content. As long as there's enough levels to satisfy, I'm fine with that price tag, but it does worry me just a bit.

Here's a new promo video (Japanese)

The game also uses Amiibo in this way:

Kirby allows you to star dash any time. MK gives you a MK mask and higher attack. Dedede gives you his mask and higher health.

The game includes 28 stages, as well as 40 "challenge" stages. (whatever those are)

I didn't watch the promo video so as to not spoil too much of the game. As for the Amiibo support, something like that is what I've been wanting out of Amiibo in a game! Now I really want those Kirby Amiibos, they should be useful! I came up with a similar idea where the Amiibo would change your stats in other Nintendo games too, nice to see that actually happen with this game.

The bad thing is that the game is so short. I hope the levels are at least fairly long to make up for the lack of them in terms of amount.

I was hoping amiibo did more than that...
    But it's better than nothing.

So Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is still planned for release February 13th, does anyone plan to buy day one?

I'm not sure, it seems just a bit too short for a $40 game and I don't really have that kind of money...but at the same time, it looks really fun and the artstyle is nice, so I don't know. I'll likely get it soon after launch, I don't tend to buy games launch day often.

So it's delayed by a week. I think that makes sense considering New 3DS and 2 other games are releasing from Nintendo on the 13th, so they didn't want this game to be lost in the hype. I'll get it if it's $40 or less...

Actually, the game looks less inspiring.
    Scratch my launch day plans.
I can wait until my birthday.

So finally concrete info on the pricing of the game. It will be available at $40 from the eShop and directly from Nintendo. However, all other retail stores have the game priced at $60. (and yes, not just Amazon, this includes EVERY retail store's online listing even that used to have a $40 price tag >_>)

Not fair. I guess the only way I'm even getting this is if it's through the eShop then...so annoying.

As much as I enjoy Kirby games I'm not playing $60 for this game and I'm not sure how many people will.

It turns out Walmart has the game listed as $40.

Will see what happens over the next few weeks.

Amazon Canada has it listed for $45
    So does Best Buy.

No reason why the American retailers shouldn't have it as $40, since the Canadian Dollar is down.

^ Because they're insane and think this game should be worth a full $60 price. It looks great and all, but it's a $40 budget game, I'm not paying that much.

If you pre-order the game in store at Toys R Us you can get a free Kirby Amiibo.
