Xenoblade Chronicles 3D (New Nintendo 3DS)

^ Xenoblade Chronicles 3D is so far the only game confirmed to be a New 3DS XL exclusive title. It even says so on the boxart:



So yeah, it can't be played on the original models. I believe it's because the original models didn't have enough power, and because the New 3DS XL CPU is more powerful, it can only run on it and not the original.

Note that at the moment this is only for Japan. Xenoblade Chronicles 3D will be bundled with a soundtrack featuring the following songs in it's first print:

Colony 9 - Yoko Shimomura
Time to Fight - Yoko Shimomura
Gaur Plain - ACE+
Memories - Manami Kiyoto

No Unfinished Battle or Mechanical Rhytm? That's a shame.

The other songs are great though, I'm not complaining about the choice of music.

I feel like NOA won't release the soundtrack sadly. It's cool Japan gets it though.

This is the game I was LEAST expecting to get Amiibo support, that's interesting! I mean it doesn't seem that great, but it's great that it's getting something.

Well for me finding a Shulk amiibo is half the battle. =/ I kinda gave up & decided not to get either the New 3DS or this game. I have the Wii version so I'll live. :p

If you wanted to use the Japanese voice overs, you may just be disappointed. Xenoblade Chronicles 3D has removed the Japanese voice acting from the original game, and you can only play it in English.

I think this makes sense, it could be a way to keep space on the cartridge. (although you'd think New 3DS games would have more memory or something)

I guess it's a good thing that I kept my Wii version & don't plan to get the "NEW" 3DS version right at launch then. xp

It seems like the small screen and the 3D are the issues. Someone trying to play this on a regular New 3DS would have a very hard time.

Yeah, I definitely think the Wii version is the better one, even without having played the New 3DS version. It's more tailored for a home console, and probably would've been better if it were a completely new title. As a remake, it can't really be as good on a handheld. But I'm sure it's still great, being that it's still the same game.
