Weird Things About Anime

What are some things that occur in anime you find really strange?

The reason I ask is because there's a few things that seem to happen often no matter what the anime. For one, when a guy sees a girl, y'know...naked or something like that, his nose will start bleeding. I never understood what that was supposed to mean. Some kind of symbol?
