The Game Awards (VGAs) 2014

The Game Awards 2014 will be aired this Friday. Yes, it's just the VGAs, for some reason they keep changing the name, which doesn't really make much sense to me. It will feature over a dozen game premieres, and since this is a Nintendo forum, Reggie Fils-Aime is on the panel. Yeah, I'm probably going to watch it ONLY because he's in it. XD

I honestly think at this point the Wii U will be my only console this generation, PS4 and Xbone don't interest me at all yet, and are priced really high. So really, I'm not that interested in the game reveals, unless Nintendo shows something, or if the games shown are actually interesting on other consoles. (seriously, this is the first generation where there are absolutely no games Sony or Microsoft has that I want at all >_> That's not a good thing...)

Reggie is going to reveal Cranky as a DLC character for Mario Kart 8. The VGA were so boring last year so I likely won't tune in for it this time.

^ Yeah, I found myself not watching it either, it was already boring me from the start. Maybe they'll try to make it a bit more interesting this year though, hopefully.

I'll just read about anything Nintendo won.

I don't watch it either. I don't have cable so I have no way to watch it anyhow. XD

Yep, you said it. I have 0 interest in the VGA's since it's just an easy way for every one in the gaming industry to pat themselves in the back without the fans doing it for them. xp

I've got two TVs with 999 channels.
Four TVs with 90 channels.

^ Yeah but you're rich. I used to, we opted to pay for better internet over the satellite TV channels we used to have, and I'm so glad we did that. XD But no I don't have cable, just an antenna for the news. But you don't need it to watch this anyway.

Yea, we used to have cable too but it's just cheaper to have netflix then cable & find everything else you want to watch online you can found anyway. That & it's MUCH cheaper anyhow.

Certainly a lot more entertaining than last year! Although still doesn't quite seem professional enough for me. I don't know why. I now am reminded that I'm missing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING by not owning PS4 or Xbone, and the Nintendo games looked great. Kinda disappointed that Game of the Year was the worst game of the nominees, but eh, it was a pretty decent show I have to say.
