PSN/Xbox Live Hacks Empty PSN/Xbox Live Hacks

Post by Winters Thief Zero Sat Dec 27, 2014 10:50 am

PlayStation Network and Xbox Live on the PS3, PS4, 360, and Xbone have been hacked by a group of hackers. I don't know if anybody on here heard about it since not that many own a PS4/Xbone, but it does suck for those who just got one for Christmas, or want to play online or buy games online with those consoles. But all I have to say is, Wii U's Nintendo Network has never been hacked to my knowledge. Glad I own a Wii U instead of the other consoles. Razz

    It was coming.
Nintendo's kid-friendly eShop and consoles is what prevents hackers from targeting them.
It's unfortunate, but it was coming.

Xbox Live is back up now and PSN is still down. I really think people should avoid buying things with a credit card on PSN though since this is the second time it's been hacked.

^ This is the second time it's been hacked this year, but I'm pretty sure it's been hacked a third time as well. >_> Sony really needs better security for their services.

Yep, Sony's PSN has been hacked 3 times & the Xbox live has been hacked twice now. I knew about it after watching the news.

I usually don't get online via the PSN on my PS3 during Christmas anymore because it's usually when Sony get's hacked. So usually I just play Nintendo games & when I'm in the mood my PS3 game minus the psn network for a while.

^ Yeah that's a good idea. I wonder if it has anything to do with the huge amount of traffic on online networks during Christmas time, due to so many people getting game consoles as a gift. Maybe it makes it easier for the hackers to get into the services?

^Yea probably. That & most hackers hate that Sony makes people have to pay for their PSN so it's an easy target for them already.
