Fake DLC Rumours

According to this supposedly leaked screenshot, Lucas could be coming as DLC for Smash Wii U/3DS after Mewtwo. Look between Lucina and Shulk:





It looks pretty good, but I'm not quite sure I believe it 100%. Out of all of the Smash leaks from before it's release, only like 1 was real, and that was pretty obviously real too. This is a single screenshot, no full Lucas model either. (Why would they not play as Lucas so we can more clearly see the model? It must not be that great, so the leaker doesn't want us to see it's faults) But there's always a chance, so I decided to post this. It would be cool to see Lucas, but really, DLC clones seem kind of pointless to me.

Well I still think Wolf would be better, since his moves aren't much different than Ness.
But it looks pretty real...

^ Yeah, and if this is real, Lucas must be even more similar to Ness than before, as he's placed along with the other clones and not next to Ness. (Dr. Mario and Dark Pit are almost exactly the same as their counterparts, Lucina is only barely different from Marth as well...) Wolf is pretty similar to Fox too though, so I'm really unsure about who I'd prefer. If anything I'd rather them have new characters as DLC.

I don't know if it is real, isn't that his artwork from Brawl?

If they have to bring back any character it has to be Wolf imo. I miss him everyday I play Smash 4...

Where did you find this since hardly any sites are reporting on it?

I'm going with fake though since Lucas would be next to Ness and not in clone island. It also seems like a update to that leak with Mewtwo, Lucas and Wolf. It's just that Wolf is not on the roster this time.

^ Oh sorry, I meant to respond to Gameguy before anyway. I have no idea where I found the image originally, I forgot to put the source in my original thread. But here's a new story on it.

Is it? I don't really remember the Brawl artwork as I never liked how the characters looked in that game, but if it is, it could make this much more unlikely. (it would be easy to slightly update his Brawl artwork for this) But to be fair, you can't really tell when it's only showing his face.

I still hope it isn't true, he's just a clone.

Nah, it isn't his Brawl artwork. I was thinking that Lucas had Ness's pose in his artwork

^ Ah okay, well, only because it looks like a pretty high quality artwork from the small part you can see, and looks to be in the Smash 4 artstyle...I have to say I kind of believe this. I won't be surprised if it ends up just being a fake, but it's hard to deny when it looks so right and normal. (just like I tried to deny that the other leak was real, but it was )

The other leak had more ground though since we got the Smash Run pictures the title screen and even gameplay. If the leak is real though it would make sense for Lucas to be in a Mewtwo trailer since there both Physic if you think about it.

It seems like a Wii U roster version has shown up with the Ice Climbers.



Hi. Im not sure who if anyone is going to find this but I have some EXTREMELY important news for Smash lovers. I have this friend who works at some division of nintendo. He brought me over to show me new dlc for super smahs bros for the Wii u that he got a hold of. He made me promise to keep it secret but he recently pissed me off, you know personal stuff, so i figured I'd get back at him with this.
Back to the what he showed me, I was able to quickly snap this image on my phone when he left the room to grab me a controller. Sorry, i wasn't able to get any video since he was in the room the rest of the time. As you should be able to tell by the image, the new dlc includes the already known, Mewtwo, and then two veterans, lucas and ice climbers. He also showed me the new miiverse stage which looked pretty much finished. I had to go to work soon so we only had time for one battle. He chose the ice climbers since they have always been his favorite and I chose mewtwo since he's the only one I was ever really good at.
The characters appeared to play similar to their previous versions. They also both played pretty good even though my friend told me they weren't comletely finished.The only difference is they had new final smashes. Mewtwo just transforms him into his one of his mega evolutions, I can't remember which, and the ice climbers appear to create a stampede of the enemies from their original game while they stay safely on that bird thing that drops them off at the beginning of each match.
I'm not sure how long this will be able to stay up but whatever. I'm just glad to finally try out mewtwo!

The Lucas icon looks diifferent and the Ice Climbers icon looks like old artwork. Also if this was tied into the 3DS leak could Sakurai have want back on his world about both rosters having the same characters?

Definitely fake, seriously, the "my friend/dad/uncle/whatever works at Nintendo" thing is getting REALLY old. Plus that screenshot is really blurry, and could easily be edited.

This is fake.
Sakurai clearly stated he couldn't include the Ice Climbers, the image is blurry and the guy isn't reliable.
