Bravely Second: End Layer

I can't believe we never had a thread for this game! Bravely Second now has been confirmed to be subtitled End Layer. I honestly think they should've just named it Bravely Default: End Layer instead if they were going to subtitle it, but I guess it's still a cool name. I'm guessing that just has something to do with the events in the storyline?

Also, it seems all 4 party members from the original Bravely Default return.

Yes!! Can't wait to play the next game installment. Hopefully this next game won't be so samey samey as the original is during the main part of the plot. xp

Bravely Second: End Layer has been confirmed for 2016 release in the west.

I still haven't played the original, but they did say it's not necessary to play the sequel. Hopefully I'll still be able to play it beforehand though, and get this game next year.

Eh, I figured the game would release in 2016... But it sounds to me like maybe this time it won't be so samey samey; which is good news for me. :3

I'd recommend playing the first game even if it isn't necessary to play this game at all. I personally love this game after playing it, still haven't finished it but probably soon. I agree with Queen it does feel samey later on. I like the game despite that problem.

I expected a 2016 release for this game. I'm really excited for it and it has a nice name. Not sure what End Layer could mean but likely something plot related. I'm not watching the video yet because I'm trying really hard to avoid potential Bravely Default spoilers.

So Agnés, Tiz, Edea, and Ringabel are returning? Sounds nice as I liked them. I wonder if the original voice actors will return for another game.

^ Well it seems you'll have another character in your party instead of Agnés for at least part of the game, not sure who that character is, but I'm pretty sure they're new. (I don't know for sure though as I didn't play Bravely Default)

^Well yea since Agnés gets kidnapped (as it's said in the trailer she is) I'm sure it'll be a new character to take her place so everyone can go & rescue her.

It sounds like the new character is a character you can make from the way Bill said the characters name.

Oh yeah, he did say his name was Yu. Although I think it's just his name...I don't think it has anything to do with customization, as he probably would've said something otherwise.

So Agnés gets kidnapped at one point.? The new character that takes her place temporarily doesn't sound familiar so I guess he/she is a new character. Having a customization character would be interesting but I don't think it would be unless this character is the 5th member of the group like Airy was.

Bravely Second: End Layer releases April 15th in NA!

The game will also be getting a 10 hour demo! The demo's content will be similar to the original where it isn't actually part of the game (and therefore probably won't be as good just saying :p) but all bonuses collected in the demo can be transferred over to the full game.

Sounds awesome! The release date is sooner than I thought it'd be too.

The Bravely Second Collector's Edition will also release on April 15th.
