This has probably been in development since late last year, or early this year.
Still not a lot of time, but it's not as little as you think.

I hope that's the case. The game definitely had some development time and it is possible what was shown at E3 was outdated. It sort of gave me an incomplete feeling. There is a more of the game to see so maybe that content is good.

Has there been trailers of this game other than the E3 one yet?

Nope, not yet. I find it VERY odd considering the game is less than 2 months from release in most regions...maybe they just don't want to show off how bad it looks. :p

The game comes out on January 22nd in North America and we now know more details on what amiibo do.

The game looks nicer now and I wish people would stop acting like it's a Paper Mario game.

It definitely looks better, I'm more optimistic about it now that's for sure. Still looks a bit bland compared to the other games though...I'm sure it'll turn out pretty good though. I like the idea of battle cards, although they might make the game too easy.

@Gameguy: Well, that's because it kind of is more of a Paper Mario game.

I still want it, I plan to get it when it releases.

No... it's more a Mario and Luigi game than Paper Mario...

This game is mostly being developed by AlphaDream, whom work on the Mario and Luigi series anyhow. Also I don't remember Intelligent Systems working on this much either.

That maybe so, but there is defiantly more paper attacks & Paper alies to help & what not from how the video's I've seen seem to come off.

Say what you want, but it feels more Papery then Mario-Luigi-rpg ish (impo).

This is clearly more of a Mario & Luigi.
It's the same style battles as Mario & Luigi, same graphics, etc.
Nintendo trying to pass it of as both, but the only real elements not from Sticker Star, which is hardly a Paper Mario game itself, was Toadette appearing as an NPC.
As far as we know, Intelligent Systems has nothing to do with it.

Yeah I'm definitely on the side with it being more Mario and Luigi than anything else, which makes perfect sense being that it's developed by AlphaDream and is even in the Dream Team engine. The paper attacks make it feel more Paper Mario-esque but there's a lot of elements that go into making a Paper Mario game different from M&L and what's in this doesn't really seem to make it feel like a crossover.

^ Do you have a European 3DS or something? Because they're region-locked, you know. :p (thanks Nintendo)
