Nintendo revealed a new game in the Mario Tennis series for Wii U called Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash.

It's nice that Toad is playable and more items have been added to the mix. I just hope it's better then Open.

Well completely uninterested, not really a tennis or sports person. The graphics are pretty good for a Mario sports game though.

I love tennis, but it looks a lot like Mario Power Tennis.
It will prolly look better in the future though.

(Why did it take them so long to add Toad)

I like the tennis games and I never got the 3DS one, so I'll probably get this one instead.

I've been in a Mario Tennis mood lately so I'm excited. Hopefully, it has more things to do then the 3DS version did.

If anyone's interested in this game, it seems it'll be $40 based on all the retailers' price listings. (in the US of course, I assume $45-50 for Canada and whatever is the equivalent in Europe)

$40 is a pretty decent price for this game as long as it has a fair amount of content. The E3 demo looked terrible and definitely not different enough from the previous games to warrant a $60 price tag.

If this is true they will likely make $20 worth of DLC again and it seems like the game is being rushed sadly.

^Why would it be rushed? Razz
It's always been slated for Holiday 2015, Late November isn't rushing it.
I'd be glad if it was $40, which is now $50 Canadian, meaning I don't have to spend $70-80 for a game.

^ It doesn't matter when it was originally slated for, if you look at the E3 demo you can tell it had to have been put together in a week. (or barely more) It's hard to complete a game in like 6 months, but I guess it is a budget title, so we'll see how it's going. We really need a new trailer...

Or the demo was scaled down...
Really, we need a new trailer for a lot of things, just do a Direct already...

Are they just not revealing anything about it because they know it's not very good? Like if it's that close to release they should at least put out a trailer of some kind...

There waiting for the next Direct and Nintendo's website has a few more details.

So the price is $50 and it just came to me that the Mega Mushroom mode might end up being the amiibo support if there is any.

Gamestop has put up an updated Boxart.

This is a much better boxart and Luigi is back for a new game of Tennis.

The new box art is improved but it still doesn't look that good in my opinion. I'm glad to see Luigi is confirmed now although he is always guaranteed anyways. I'd love to see an opening like in Mario Power Tennis with Wario and Waluigi shenanigans again, it's something Mario sports have been lacking lately.
