I'm fine with the Koopalings being in Mario Kart 8 since it may be a hit that the roster is huge and many fans wanted them playable for years. I did take me a few days to get over them being playable in Mario Kart 8 though.

I found the smoke ball to be really pointless since it does not last that long and you can still see your character through the smoke.
