Nintendo eShop to be offline for 24 hours starting on November 1st

It seems like the eShop will be going down for a whole day/

My guess the reason it's shutting down for 24 hours is so that Nintendo can start to add in exterior things into the miiverse system. My guess is that the new club Nintendo account that was announced recently is going to be connected to your NNID.

^That's not coming until March 2016 Queen.

^ It could still be part of that if they want to get certain things done early. I'm assuming My Nintendo doesn't replace NNIDs (at least not yet)

Either way it's obviously for something major.

24 hours of maintenance must be something pretty big. Very early preparation for all the My Nintendo stuff makes sense. I think there's a small chance it could be something related to the Smash DLC with all the rumors floating around. With what happened when the Ryu DLC arrived, improving things to help prevent the servers from crashing again would be good. It could also be for the holiday season.

Heck they couldn't explain why... -_-

I don't use the Eshop except for occasionally looking at trailers and downloading demos, so it's not gonna be a bother. What the maintenance is for, who knows.
