Live Action Sonic Film Coming in 2018

A live action film based on Sonic the Hedgehog is set to debut in 2018, and is being created with Sony Pictures.

This sounds terrible, I'm definitely not going to see it unless it somehow garners critical acclaim. (which obviously won't happen :p) I'm not at all interested in a Sonic movie, especially not a live action one. That just seems like a bad direction to go with a movie based on characters like that.

But maybeh the peoples are realz but the aminals are all liek cg? That could liek work ryght? xp

I've seen a few movies with real life actors & cg characters; just look at the Jurassic Park movies.

It sounds about as appealing as the Super Mario Bros live action movie. It just doesn't sound like a good idea in my opinion. Is Sonic himself going to be animated or is an actor going to wear a costume? I think an animated Sonic could work if done right. I don't think live action can work very well for something like Sonic The Hedgehog, it sounds so difficult to pull off.

It could end up being for all we know. Then again Sonic has been going downhill for years now and those live action movies based on video game characters never end while.

I heard about this and it seems like a weird idea. Maybe it's because I don't like Sonic too much but I don't think the story of his games and characters could work well up on the big screen. Especially not with real people as the characters. Idk maybe they are going to use CG characters?
