Rumor - Pokemon live-action movie?

Could this really be a thing?

This just sounds like an awful idea and I have no idea why so many companies would even waste so much money trying to get the rights.

Live action? I would hope they'd be at least using CG as well just because real people playing Pokemon would be creepy af. Still, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if this were to be made. There's been so many Pokemon anime movies, making this change would make sense.

I must say, I don't have particularly high hopes for something like this: regardless of what they do, it's not going to feel like Pokémon to me because any live-action movie would be so far removed from the animated art style that I'm used to. But, maybe they'll surprise me .
