Fire Emblem Fates sells 300,000 units in a single weekend

Fire Emblem Fates is off to a great start.

With more than 300,000 units sold between all versions of the Fire Emblem Fates game during its launch weekend, the Nintendo 3DS strategy RPG earns a place in the record books as the fastest-selling game in the history of the long-running, critically acclaimed franchise in the United States. The game sold more than five times as many units as 2013’s Fire Emblem Awakening, the previous record holder in the United States, during its first three days of availability.

I guess people still bought the game anyway and I guess having Corrin in Smash also helped.

Wow, that means it's getting very close to 1 million total already, with it having sold around 550k copies in Japan and not being out in Europe. Awesome! That's insanely good sales for Fire Emblem, that's really great! I'm so glad it's doing so well, Fire Emblem is one of my favorite game series and seeing it die out would be horrible.

Glad they made so few copies of the Special Edition since hardly anyone got it
