by The trailer for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe only showed the new battle mode and new characters with no new tracks being shown. So that makes me thing there will not be any new tracks. On the other hand they did not show the track list at the Switch preview and the Treehouse said to expect surprises. I think we will end up getting at least 8 new tracks even if there just based off of the battle mode maps.

If there aren't any I will not be getting the game unless there is a free/cheap upgrade to it for Wii U owners. Battle mode will be fun of course but I'm not paying for another full price game just for that.

I'm guessing it's just the return of coin runners after the news of the no new tracks unless my theory is right about there being courses based on the new battle maps.
