Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle

In a crazy rumor the Rabbids and Mario might be crossing over in a RPG game for the Switch. The game is expected to be released at launch.

This comes from a LetsPlayVideoGames report...

- according to sources at Ubisoft and Nintendo
- Switch will launch alongside a new Ubisoft-developed turn based RPG, with the name suggesting it will be a crossover of the Raving Rabbids and Mario series
- currently under the working title ''Mario RPG: Invasion of the Rabbids'', is being developed under the watchful monitoring of Nintendo
- ensuring that it both hits launch day and that it conforms to Nintendo’s own internal specifications for how Mario characters and iconography should be presented
- title will focus on the Mario universe being invaded by Ubisoft’s Rabbids characters, some friend and some foe
- will feature a new Bowser form based around the design of the Rabbids as a recurring boss enemy
- numerous cameo appearances from the Mario series’ best known characters
- core party will feature numerous, more minor characters
- is a particular focus on Yoshi as a primary party member, alongside a playable Rabbid
- title will have a playable demo ready for press to experience in January
- will feature a quicksave system to ensure that saving is possible on short notice if the battery on the Switch handheld is running low
- part of the planned press demo includes the JoyCons vibrating to imply a Rabbid jumping into and out of them from the TV or handheld screen
- idea is to imply your system is infested with Rabbids, and that they could at any time jump out of your controller and interfere with gameplay
- title is going to be one of the cornerstone trailers shown when Nintendo details the system further in January
- Nintendo intends to pitch the project to consumers as a Mario RPG project in collaboration with Ubisoft, in spite of Ubisoft doing most of the work on development

This would be such a crazy game if it's true. I also think there just using Mario's name for more sales and to toss in Bowser as the main bad guy again.

Okay this whole idea is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard and that's honestly exactly why I think it's totally true. Something like this would just be such a wild guess otherwise, even if it doesn't turn out exactly like this, something clearly is happening.

Rabbids? Do people even remember what they are? I'm trying to think of when they were last relevant. 

Really hoping this isn't true, while I was hoping we could see more Mario RPG games this isn't what I meant.

This is one of the craziest rumors that I have heard in the video game industry. I'm actually curious to see how it works if it ever gets released, really.

I hope to the great Zeekeeper this game is just a rumor, the Rabbid games are kinda dumb impo.

Seems like we have another game that was leaked months ago. Here's some new info coming from Kotaku.

The following info comes from Kotaku
- Kotaku has seen assets
- due out either August or September
- turn-based combat
- two-player local co-op
- goofy sense of humor.
- assets show Mario and crew wielding laser guns
- playable characters include Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Peach, and, four Rabbids dressed up as Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and Peach

I was kind of hoping there where 4 other Mario characters and I believe this game is real with all the people who have leaked info on the game and it will likely be released in August.

I mean with all these leaked details still coming out months after the initial rumor from so many sources, I don't see how this could not be legitimate. Like this is definitely happening.

The initial premise was so out there that idk who'd want to come up with something like that to fool everyone

Will be interesting to see details on this and how Ubisoft uses Ninty's flagship IP

It'd be funny if this game was announced in 2019 or something.

It'd be quite anticlimactic if so, but given the rumour started last year it'd be just a bit crazy waiting a few more years for this but w/e

Kind of a shame this was leaked and at least the Mario characters look pretty normal.

The descriptions for Peach really fit what she is in Smash Bros..  The death stare of Luigi returns too, I see.
I have never played a rabbids game but I would give this a shot if I ever am able.

It's crazy how much has been leaked about this game without an official announcement. Clearly they're waiting until E3 but by now they have to know that all of us know this exists. It definitely looks interesting, I'm kind of liking the artwork. I'm just not entirely sure how the game will work.
