Super Smash Bros Ultimate

At long last a Smash Bros title for Nintendo Switch has been show with the Inklings joining the battle.


Everyone is back.

Is this a port or new game? I’m thinking new game that’s based on it’s Wii U counterpart just like Splatoon 2 and Aces are.

Hopefully it has a mix of the good stuff from 3DS and Wii U smashes if it's going the port route, if it's not a port, then 2018 seems very soon unless they were working on it a lot before the switch came out

Well from everything we know so far it can't really be considered a port. It's definitely a new game, but to what extent it will take stuff from the Wii U and 3DS games I guess we don't know. Inklings were an obvious inclusion but it is good to see them here.

The game is titled Super Smash Bros Ultimate and it will include every past veteran and a long requested purple dragon. The game will be released on December 7th.





I feel like this section want on for way to long. On the other  hand I'm happy they brought back every vet due to each character having his or her fans and I guess K Rool is the most wanted character now.

I want it su much, it looks a lot like a way Nintendo is telling people they pay attention to some wants, as long as they're in reason, and I just know I want, because smash, and smash is funzo.

It think it exceeded expectations. Returning all the vets was amazing. Ridley I'm not crazy about but I can certainly get behind a Samus vs Ridley matchup. I'm quite fond of the changes made to the characters. Even the slightest improvements make everything prettier. Inkling looks fun to play as. And Daisy, I prefer Peach but man Daisy's animations look really good.

It looks awesome for sure. Being such a huge segment in an otherwise disappointing E3 showing for Nintendo made me feel kind of meh towards the whole thing but the game itself is great. They really are doing something great here with bringing back literally every single character from the series, although I'm hoping there are at least a couple more newcomers past Inkling and Ridley. (and Daisy if we're counting her) Also, visually it's perfect. And the artwork for the game is amazing.

A noisy notebook remix from Snipperclips will be included as a song.

I'm really liking all of the new remixed music so fair and it's great to see a smaller new IP in Snipperclips getting a song when it's pretty much an indie game backed by Nintendo.

While the pro controller does loom cool the game case would crash with most of my others outside of the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 steel book case I have.

That Pro Controller is absolutely gorgeous. I'm a fan of sleek minimalist designs so I think I may have to get my hands on one of those. However, I could do without the steel case. The box art for the standard release is absolutely breathtaking and I'd prefer to show that off over the smash logo.

Yeah, I'd agree that the minimalistic look for that cover doesn't really work out so well when you compare it to the official boxart. Regardless, it is good to see them embracing multiple options, and the Pro Controller looks nice.

I like how they tied those announcement into a new Animal Crossing and it looks like she is not an echo.

With all the leaks n stuff they're gonna show what really is gonna be in and not, n yee-haw I have that day off so I can waaaaaatch it

The final Smash Bros Ultimate Direct before release tells me there already planning DLC. I expect them to announce Isaac/ Incineroar, Ken as an echo fighter and Geno when it comes to characters. I also see them going in depth on the Online modes, Sprits and all of the returning modes.
