It looks very boring to me as well. I didn't really like the 2D sections inside of Bowser in Bowser's inside story, so this would probably be similar with those sections.

Bowser is replaced by Luigi's and Starlow is replaced a by a bat.

Well we already know Starlow is in the game again, as shown by one of the trailers. But he might have a different purpose, with the bat doing what Starlow did in Inside Story. Although perhaps not, he looks more like a boss or enemy for sure.

Yeah the box art isn't very exciting, I know that's not like the key thing but for people that are new to the series the cover is one of the hooks, and being copy pasted is pretty bad.
