Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS

Y'know, I find it odd they'd base it off the SNES version of the game, when they could include one from Pilotwings Resort on the 3DS version of the game. Of course, it's still possible that they will do that...I guess.

I assume they didn't do one from the 3DS because this is the Wii U version and according to Iwata, the Wii U is a "modernized SNES" and they're both home consoles.

Wait...do you have a source for that? I've never heard of Iwata mentioning at all that Wii U is a "modernized SNES"...and I really don't think it is myself, it's completely different, not to mention 4 generations after the SNES...

The stages are based off handheld games for Super Smash Bros 3DS and console systems for Super Smash Bros Wii U.

That Pilotwings stage looks cool though.

That's true, I just find it odd that they would reveal that instead of the Pilotwings Resort stage in the Nintendo 3DS version.

And still nobody else has said anything about it, but I have asked multiple times, that IS just the background for the stage, right?

Either way, the minute I saw that stage I just laughed and thought "This is so stupid.".

I was hoping they'd say more characters than him.

Wasn't it obvious Luigi would be in this game? I wish they revealed a newcomer rather than Luigi.

Apparently Balloon Fighter was going to be playable in Melee but was replaced by the Ice Climbers.
I still think there is a chance he'll be in.

I know King Dedede, Meta Knight, and Meowth were supposed to be in the original Super Smash Bros. for N64, but were removed, and all were eventually in other Smash Bros. games. So it's certainly possible.

I'm not the only one who thinks Balloon Fighter should be in?

All 12 originals should be in. No exceptions.

Also, Peach and Bowser were gunna be in N64 Smash as well

Honestly I'd rather have played Meowth over Jigglypuff, maybe that's just me. Balloon fighter I feel has a fair chance of being brought into the game looking at who's in it now. But if there are any of the original twelve out as well as cutscenes then that'd be, honestly, it'd annoy me.
