I prefer Jigglypuff, but I feel all of the original 12 characters should be in this, as there really isn't any reason for them NOT to be, they have been in every single Super Smash Bros. game.

Even though Balloon Fighter is more likely than most other characters, there's still surprises, I was most certainly not expecting Wii Fit Trainer, that just has to be the weirdest choice for a character in this. So there's a good enough chance he'll be playable.

Sakurai has noted that the Nintendo 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. will look better on the 3DS screen than it does in the trailers shown. He also said it's too bad that he can't show off what it looks like through the Nintendo 3DS screen.

I don't have a direct quote, but uh, Sakurai, trailers are all over the Nintendo eShop, and a trailer could be shown on the 3DS through the eShop...

Perhaps he's just hinting towards this happening sometime soon.

The trailers mostly show the Wii U version and only a little of the 3DS version.
So if Sakurai wants to everyone to see how it looks on the 3DS.
Why not put a small demo on the 3DS eShop with the E3 characters?

Did they have a demo at E3? I'm assuming there really isn't anything they can put together yet for us to play, but if he wants us to see how it looks on the 3DS, why not put a trailer, gameplay, or something of the sort on the eShop?

He's talking like there's no way at all for us to see it on the 3DS screen until the game releases...

There was only this match at E3 but, only Sakurai and some guy from the Nintendo treehouse got to play the game it seems and it was the Wii U version.

I can't wait to play as Mega Man... I want to badly.

I also still hope for a return of Sonic.

Mario, Sonic and Mega Man in my Smash Bros. in ONE GAME? f**k YES I'LL TAKE IT.

It looks like Wuhu Island is part of the Pilotwings stage.

Mii might be in this game after all.

So here's an update on how I think they will show characters for the game.
September: They might not show anyone for September.
October: Mega Mewtwo, Sonic, Mii or a Zelda character. They might show more then one character.
    November: Diddy Kong or Zelda
    December: Peach

If Miis are playable, I'm assuming they would announce them in November or December because Wii Fit U would be releasing then.

And I think that Zelda should be playable over Diddy Kong, but Dixie Kong will also be announce because of DKC Tropical Freeze.

Apparently, the character outlines on Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS are 'customizable', they can be made thinner or thicker, or simply be removed.

This wouldn't help me in any way, and I will likely just keep the outlines there...Sakurai did say it made the characters easier to see on the 3DS' screen.

Does anyone know if there is a screenshot of the characters WITHOUT the outlines? I'd like to see what they look like when removed. I haven't seen a screenshot on the website, but that doesn't mean there isn't one...

The outlines for the character models in 3DS version makes them look uglier IMO...

I haven't seen a pic without them but hopefully there's an option to turn it off...

What do you mean hopefully, there is an option to make them thinner or to completely remove them.

That's actually kind of nice to be able to remove the lines, I was thinking that it would be an annoyance to some people to have a big thick line around the character.
