Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS

Y'know, Sakurai said there wouldn't be as many characters as there were in Brawl. So I'm doubting there will be, unless they delay the game and decide to add in some new characters during the extra development time.

I'm satisfied with the roster so far, obviously more will be revealed in the next year. I'm hoping that because there aren't as many characters as Brawl, that they're removing pointless characters and replacing them with new and different ones.

There are SO MANY characters I want added. I already made a roster previously, so I don't feel like stating them all again. But my MOST wanted new characters are Tetra and Lucina.

Mewtwo will likely be back just because he could have his mega forms from X/Y. I don't care about Roy much because I never really liked him. (in Smash Bros) I'd rather see Lucina playable and just have Roy return if there are more than 2 FE characters.

Let's see...characters I think will be cut:

King Dedede
Wolf
Lucario (well, maybe not him because they could use mega form)
Ike
Wario
Zero Suit Samus
Solid Snake

I'm fine with the roster and I see the roster being about 44 or 49 characters.

I only see Pac-Man being added as the final third party character.

I would like to see Little Mac, Palutena and a new Zelda character.

I want both of them back but, I can only see Mewtwo coming back.

Cuts
Wolf or Falco- They both might still be in after Toon Link though.
Snake
Ike- Unless FE gets more characters this time.

Does anyone else think Zero Suit Samus should be replaced by Fusion Suit Samus? I like seeing her face, but it would also be cool if they added in the Fusion Suit instead this time around.

Also, which version does everyone think is going to be the definitive version? Personally I'll go with Wii U. I feel like not much will be done with the 3DS version.

The Fusion Suit was another color of Samus, I mean it's not the gooey form but it was practically the same, so I'd rather have Zero Suit.

I suppose that's true. But the Fusion Suit could be one of her alternate costumes like in the previous games, and what seems to be in this one as well because of the Male Wii Fit Trainer being an alternate to the female trainer.

Also am I the only one who hopes for the ability to use your Animal Crossing: New Leaf character as a skin for Villager in this?

The definitive version will no doubt be Wii U.

3DS ver. is basically on the go fighting and nothing more. I do recall the two being able to connect with each-other... Whether this is still true, I've no idea.

That concept you added for the Villager seems like it'd be a nice touch. Unfortunately, I don't feel Sakurai is going to implement something like that. Or rather... Exactly HOW they would do it.(sure they would find a way too)

^ They've been able to let you port over your characters from New Leaf over into the Animal Crossing Plaza app on Wii U, so I'm sure it's possible to do this.

And I don't remember where I saw this, so not sure if it's completely true. But I believe Sakurai said they will be able to connect with each other in some way, even after it was revealed that they each have different stages. I'm assuming this means there will be no cross online play, but still some way to connect between the two games.

Um. Hey. I dunno if anyone else has noticed(i didn't till now) but Olimar has no 3DS screenshots. Does this mean he's Wii U exclusive?

I do recall Sakurai saying charas may be on one system and not the other.

(maybe the 3DS can't handle Olimar and his Pikmin?)

That is strange. But I feel like it would've been mentioned on the website that he was Wii U exclusive if he actually was.

I'm also pretty sure Sakurai said each game would have the exact same character roster.

Great. Now my mind is all f**ked.

Well here's what Sakurai said:

Fundamentally we’re going to have the same characters on both systems. If there was a character you couldn’t play on Wii U but you could play on 3DS, or vice versa, that’s rough for consumers. So we want players to be able to have the same character experiences on both devices.

So yeah, they have the same roster. So I doubt Olimar is only in the Wii U version.

I see them keeping Zero Suit since she was the final smash for Samus in Brawl after all and I don't see them giving everyone a new one.

I also think the Wii U version will be better since playing on the 3DS might get your hands tired faster and playing on a smaller screen is not the best for this type of game.

As for Pikmin & Olimar I don't think they showed any Pikmin on the 3DS pics yet but, they did show Luma on the 3DS. So I don't why they did not even show one Pikmin yet?

Also I don't think we know what Rosalina's side b is. I think it might be her star spin attack.

Also I don't know why so people think that the Ice Climbers will be gone when we have 2 tag team characters in the game so fair.   

I hope we get something cool for the Christmas pick of the day like a group picture of all the playable characters or the Mario characters minus Bowser in there fire flower outfits.

Yeah, Olimar is just standing there without his Pikmin. Maybe when the screen was taken he had just thrown all of his Pikmin?

Ice Climbers WILL be in, Rosalina and Luma being playable just makes it more likely really.

Also a Christmas pic of the day? Maybe they'll show off a new character as a gift. Or just a festive stage.
