Namco Bandai Changing Name

Namco Bandai is changing it's name starting April 1st. Their new name is Bandai Namco. Source

Their logo said that, probably just for less confusion.

Well, they might as well do this. It makes their name consistent with their logo  .

They're doing this on April 1st? So, I'm just going to assume this is a joke.

Yea I agree with Cubone: as it's most likely an April fools joke.  

^ But it's not an April Fools' joke as they are officially changing their name to match the Japanese name, which is also Bandai Namco...they wanted to be consistent with the name worldwide so it wouldn't be different everywhere.

It makes sense since that is there name in Japan.

And they changed their name again

I know, what is up with all the name changing?! Bandai Namco, what's wrong with you? They even chose April 1st to change it once again, of all days. I guess we can't assume it's an April Fools joke as they did end up actually changing their name on April 1st this year.

Maybe there going to be more active in the toy line? Since they are the first 3rd Party to use the amiibo.

Pac-Man Amiibo!
I really want a Pac-Man amiibo.
He was in Smash, and if Sonic and Mega Man get amiibo, Pac-Man deserves one, since Bandai Namco directly worked on Smash and have their games support amiibo.

^ Well there's already been confirmed to be an Amiibo for every character who was in Smash, so of course he'll be getting one. I guess it would make sense that they'd be doing more things outside of the video game industry based on the name change, but I think that should be expected.

They have not confirmed that Zero.
In the Smash Fact Extravaganza thing they showed Charizard and Ness as FPs.
Otherwise, no.
Though I really want R.O.B.
