Soup - Mario now has a soup! Empty Mario now has a soup!

I saw the posted ad while watching tv & thought I'd share with the Mario fans here:

The moment I saw this ad I face palmed myself Facehoof ~_~ I guess in a way I could kind of see it an ad for the Wii U.. Even if it isn't really.. But what's more creepy (to me) is that the mom keeps the can from bouncing away at the end.. ~_~

My question then becomes.. If you saw this in the store: would you want it & (or) actually want to eat it?? oxO As for me? I'm undecided ATMO.

No & no. XD OMG. I've seen other character soups besides Mario before & I never get them anyway. Still, that ad is just kinda sad as it's a double ad: advertising not only the Wii U but Mario too & here we are still in the middle of the year of Luigi! For shame Nintendo; for shame. xp

^ I don't know, it was probably Campbell's idea to do this in the first place.

This is a VERY strange ad indeed, not even because of the soup, but the (young) kid with a beard who must be a wizard, the jumping soup can, playing the Wii U, etc. I guess it's difficult to make a good 15 second advertisement though. Razz

Also I doubt I'd eat the soup, I do eat canned soup, but it's a specific kind that this isn't, so I see no reason to.

Honestly, I'm not too sure what the big deal is here!

Maybe it's just in the UK but these kind of things are rather common here. (Although, QueenZelda did state she has seen them before also, so?)

Heinz over here have little Tomato Soups with Spaghetti shapes in them, I own two of the My Little Pony cans myself! But to be honest it does tend to aim at younger audiences, so we also got stuff like Hello Kitty, Peppa Pig, so on so forth.

I even remember there being a Pokemon one when I were young!

^ Well for me the soup being Mario themed isn't a big deal, it's the ad that is, it's very strange. We also have plenty of foods based on characters, but it tends to be based on childrens' cartoons, so I'm guessing the only real reason they exist is for the kids. It would make sense anyway.

Mom bought thinking it was spaghetti O's. Mario styled.

    It was Campbell's Soup.

Still have both in the cabinet. IIRC, I hate Campbell's.

Well the only reason I mentioned the other character soups; is because impo it's not really a big deal & I usually never get them anyway. I mean there's Phenias 'n Ferb "Perry" soup, Scooby Doo soup, & even Disney Princess soup's that I've seen besides the Mario one I could have gotten when I was at the grocery store but didn't. Razz
