    Nintendo has confirmed the first free update for Splatoon will be available today at 10 pm EST! It will include the unlocking of ranked battle, (which will include Splat Zones) a new weapon (the N-Zap 85) and a new map (Port Mackerel)

    I wasn't expecting this update so soon! Can't wait to play more Splatoon tonight then!

    Here's the full details about the update





    - Splatoon update: N-Zap '85 weapon coming. Not powerful, but it helps to charge the echolocater weapon fastly. Also comes with Splatbombs!
    - Port Mackerel is the first free stage
    - Weapon and map will be available 7PM PT
    - Ranked Battle will also be available today

    I guess the new maps and weapons will come out one at a time then. I can't wait to try the new map later though.

    ^ Yeah I did think that was odd, maybe Camp Triggerfish is a bit more technical than this one? That could be why they're putting it off a bit longer.

    We might get the stage next week or something. There's also the fact that it might have cased some glitches online.

    Are you sure? The E3 2014 trailer only has Urchin Underpass and Saltspray Rig, and I'm pretty sure the demo only included the former...

    ^ Watch it again Luma, it doesn't at all, I rewatched it and it definitely isn't there, unless it was changed drastically since then.

    A new patch is now available for Splatoon! They give no real details, but I've heard Inkopolis Plaza is now quite a bit faster. (maybe 60 fps)

    Update Details:
    Ver. 1.2.0 [Released 06/02/15]

    Adjustments have been made to make for a more pleasant gaming experience.
    Notes:
    This update must be applied in order to use the Internet features of Splatoon.
    Save data will still be available for use after downloading the update.
    If the system's Standby Functions are enabled, the update will download and install automatically. How to
    What to Do:
    Connect the Wii U console to the Internet
    Return to the Wii U Menu and launch Splatoon
    Once the update is installed, "Ver. 1.2.0" will be displayed on the title screen.

    I'm glad they're supporting this game with so many updates. It's nice to see them doing this.

    Nintendo of Japan confirmed the Inkbrush is coming tomorrow.
    Nintendo of Europe also confirmed that.
    No word from Nintendo of America yet, but expect it soon.

    Awesome! Here's hoping we also get Camp Triggerfish to go along with it! Is "tomorrow" June 5th or June 6th?

    EDIT: It's today, June 5th, at 10 pm EST. (in Japan/Europe it's probably tomorrow at some point)
