    Squid Sisters Live Concert Empty Squid Sisters Live Concert

    Post by Winters Thief Zero Sat Jan 30, 2016 9:49 am

    Here's the video of the live stream for the Squid Sisters concert in Japan:

    Those Squid Sisters are really weird and creepy. XD But otherwise I really like this, the extended and remixed songs are nice to hear. Especially the final boss theme.

    I didn't even know that the Squid Sisters were performing live, that's something I wouldn't expect. So they look like holograms being projected onto the stage, that's interesting. I find it pretty cute. Splatoon and the Squid Sisters must really be making an impact in Japan. Not Hatsune Miku huge but I think they're getting pretty popular now. I'm happy Splatoon has been successful. I really liked watching them perform the final boss song "Calimari Inkantation" I believe it's called.

    Are they speaking Japanese before each song or is it the "Squid Language"? I can't really tell but the dialogue sounds a little different than their usual stuff.

    ^ They're speaking their own language and the little screen above them is showing the translated text in Japanese. And yeah that final boss performance was really great!

    @Zero Revolution

    Oh alright. I hear it now. I heard what they were saying a little differently on stage than the Inkopolis News at first. Everything was translated in Japanese onto the screen for the most part, just not the very end. The whole presentation was great.

    I'm sure there will be many more shows down the line and I guess this means Nintendo themed concerts can happen now.

    I don't get how people like these performances live, though I guess being there with a lot of people as it's being err.... "played" in front of you does cause something.

    Ehh, still interesting to see this actually be a thing.

    ^ They did the same thing with Hatsune Miku. I feel like it's mostly to have the music played loudly and in extended versions to make it more interesting. And to some it'd feel like actually being in the world of Splatoon during a Splatfest.

    @Gameguy1996
    This isn't entirely new as they did do the live orchestral Zelda concerts, but hopefully this means more will come in the future.

    It is kind of cute, but I don't think something like 'holographic singers' would do very well here in the states outside of Hatsune Miku being so popular.

    Idk, it's just the Squid Sisters seemed to be less visually interesting to me, all they did was wave their arms left, right, left, right & shake their butts. They need to have better choreography if they want to get a bigger scope of fans, cause after a while I just got bored of watching them. Eh, maybe it's just me being picky. ^^;

    ^ Yeah, I feel like almost all of the moves were just taken from the actual game rather than being new and exciting. I really only cared about the music itself as they were rather uninteresting, but I guess it'd be difficult to really go insane with the moves.
