Re: Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
He's playing his 3DS XL, I saw a video yesterday about that, and apparently it even plays sounds from Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Super Mario 3D Land.

Re: Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
Normally I don't post the DKCTF tweets, but this one interested me:
I kinda assumed the minecart levels were being replaced by the zipline levels, but apparently not! I thought they were going for a feel like in the original DKC games, where each one would have vehicle stages similar to the minecarts from the original game, but with different vehicles each time. But the ziplines are something different. I suppose I should've realized this before though just because ziplines aren't a vehicle.

Re: Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
So apparently Gamespot's review score for Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze was leaked and they gave it a 5/10. While the one review likely won't change my mind about me getting the game, I just hope it doesn't wind up being that bad. So I'm a bit disappointed. Either way watch it be a terrible review, DKCR had really good critical reception and this one looks way better, so it can't be as terrible as this one score seems to show.
You can see the score on this page.

Re: Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
I can't wait for this game.
The first one was perfect, not too easy, actually frustrating at times, but beatable.
I can't wait to get my hands on this one, I really can't.

Re: Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
What Gamespot likely said in there review. The game is to hard, it's not Metroid, only 6 worlds and the boss is not King K Rool.

Re: Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
That sentence did sound weird but I'm pretty sure he meant that Gamespot's review will say the game is too difficult, Retro should've made a new Metroid game over Donkey Kong Country, it's too short, and the boss isn't King K-Rool but is a complete rip-off of him. And if that's what the reviewer says, then I'll just pay no attention to it whatsoever because those are TERRIBLE reasons to give the game a low score. Especially the Metroid part.
@Dark Jester
Oh yeah Returns was a great game for sure, personally I didn't think it was perfect, but still a really good game. Am I alone in thinking this game looks way better than Returns though?

Re: Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
I think it looks about the same as Returns to be honest, which I'm not complaining about too much as Returns still feels like a wonderful new fresh thing to me, so seeing it again but with a few tweaks is acceptable to me!
Also, about the reviewer... call me stubborn, but I only listen to opinions I choose to listen to. I've seen too many people on the internet bash games, companies and developers for such stupid things, unless I can personally talk to them (E.G; like users on the site) I care not for what they got to say.
Some people have just got into the habit of bashing on nintendo for no reason, even when they're doing just standard things, so yeah, of course DKC:TF is no exeption.

Re: Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
My dad went out and got it for me.
Apparently, due to the Canadian dollar dropping, the price is $55 dollars here.
At least I got 70 coins on Club Nintendo.

It's only $50 over here in NA. I'm not sure when I'll be getting the game myself, but do be sure to post your thoughts Luma! (you're the only one on here who owns the game as far as I know )

Re: Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
I find it great actually!
But if really depends on what type of games you play.
