Gamestop now selling Metroid Prime Trilogy

Gamestop is now selling "preowned" copies of Metroid Prime Trilogy for the price of $84.99.

While I understand the game is rare, each game separately can be purchased AT Gamestop for only $5 or LESS. The trilogy was supposed to be a deal because it was cheaper than buying each game separately, but apparently now you can either buy them for a total of around $20, or in one disc for $65 more.

Who would buy this.

I'm pretty sure that Metroid Prime Trilogy is more of a Metroid fan's collective item as to a bargain for people. True you could buy all three separately for cheaper but it wouldn't be the trilogy in one item.

I would just buy every game alone and save $50 if I really wanted the games.
Once again Gamestop is selling something for more cash they should.

Though I myself own the original Metorid Prime Trilogy in part due to a friend giving me the trilogy as a gift for Christmas.

I actually just remembered something, at some point during 2012, I saw Metroid Prime Trilogy used for $15. (maybe a bit more or less, but around that price nonetheless) So I don't see why less than a year later, they increased the price by $70.

It was just as rare then as it is now...

Impo; I think the reason that Gamestop is selling it for so much now is to offset when the Xbone rears it's ugly head later on in the year. Seeing as M$ didn't really change their policies.. (Not by much...)

Thus the price we pay as gamers because of one company that's too greedy & is making us pay the price in order for them to survive sticking around into 2014 & beyond. <~<;
