Re: Nintendo 2DS
Apparently the battery life sucks (it's about the same as the original Nintendo 3DS)
Considering there is no 3D for the 2DS, I feel the battery life should be a bit longer.Nintendo Life wrote:2DS comes equipped with a 1300mAh battery — the exact same size as the one which shipped with the original 3DS model.
That means the console will offer roughly the same battery life as the original 3DS with the 3D slider switched to "off".

Re: Nintendo 2DS
Apparently one of the original 2DS designs only had ONE screen. O_O
So one just had a flat back which I presume would be more uncomfortable, the other had only one screen. Not to mention that screen was the same size as a normal 3DS touch screen is. How could you have possibly fit everything on that one tiny screen?...

Re: Nintendo 2DS
Well you do realize that the 2DS is just one huge touch screen & not two? The design of the 2DS was made final so that only the bottom screen could be used for touch screen interfaces. That's probably the reason why one of the designs is just for one screen; because the truth is that it is just one screen. ;3

Re: Nintendo 2DS
Oh, I do know that, I'm just saying that because you are supposed to be able to play DS and 3DS software on it, there's no way you'd be able to fit content from both screens on that small little screen the size of the 3DS touch screen. Because it is one screen, it would make sense for there to be just one screen that isn't divided that is as long as big as both, but because it's so small, it makes no sense.

Re: Nintendo 2DS
Here's the newest 2DS that's coming to Europe on May 16th.
I guess this is good for Kirby fans and young kids. I won't be getting this one if it's ever comes to the US though.

Re: Nintendo 2DS
I wouldn't mind playing on it if I didn't already have a 3DS, but I doubt I'd specifically buy it. Especially since I don't ever plan on getting a 2DS, I'd much rather just use the 3DS instead. But is it bundled with Kirby Triple Deluxe or something? Because you said it's good for the Kirby fans, but the only thing similar would be that Kirby is pink...

Re: Nintendo 2DS
A new 2DS bundle is on the way this October.
This is cool bundle to get for the kids or anyone as a holiday gift.
PR email wrote:New Nintendo 2DS Bundles: In early October, three new Nintendo 2DS bundles will hit stores. The new bundles feature the Electric Blue, Crimson Red or Sea Green Nintendo 2DS system along with a code to download Mario Kart 7 from the Nintendo eShop. The bundles will be available at a suggested retail price of $129.99 each.

Re: Nintendo 2DS
The Nintendo 2DS MSRP has dropped to $99.99 in NA.
That's a pretty great price even if the 2DS has much less functionality than a New 3DS/New 3DS XL. I don't expect the New 3DS price to drop anytime soon so this makes sense for now.

Re: Nintendo 2DS
It makes sense since it's a better price for the younger kids now and the 2DS has not sold that while in the west lately.

Do people still care about this? Seriously?Winters Thief Zero wrote:The Nintendo 2DS MSRP has dropped to $99.99 in NA.

I'd have thought this would have been forgotten by now.

Re: Nintendo 2DS
^ Well you'd be surprised, I think it's the lowest selling 3DS model by a pretty large margin, but it's been popular enough to warrant it's existence still. It really is perfect for kids or those who break things easily and that's how it's marketed, it's the cheaper 3DS really, and a lot of people buy into that.

tbh I'd assume everyone just want the NEW 3DSXL considering it's... well, newer. You know how some people are.Winters Thief Zero wrote:^ Well you'd be surprised, I think it's the lowest selling 3DS model by a pretty large margin, but it's been popular enough to warrant it's existence still. I guess those who worry about their money have a good reason to still get it though.
