Official Wii Remote Charging Kit

Nintendo of America have just released an official Wii Remote charging station, allowing you to charge Wii Remotes rather than using batteries. The package is available for $40, and comes with a charging cradle, rechargable battery, battery cover, Wii Remote Jacket, Wii Remote Wrist Strap and an A/C Adapter.

I used to have a third-party charging station that broke after awhile. This would certainly be very useful, so I may get it at some point. I inow I'll probably be using Wii Remotes for a long time...

I had the third party one and then one day it want out after like four years. I think I would just get the third party again since it's half the price however the newer one charges faster.

It only took them like what... 5 or 6 years?

I might buy it considering I stupidly lost a few of the charge batteries for my 3rd party one.

Yeah, same here Gameguy, except it was more like 2 to 3 years.

And you're right Polar, but at least they released it eventually, and when Wii Remotes will still be used for Wii U. And nobody would want to have to keep buying batteries.

I have a third party one and it charges four at once, I bought it used though so it only charges three at once now, but it still works dandy and $40 is a bit steep for a charger, I mean it's handy but $40.

It's really not all that expensive, aren't the Wii Remotes themselves like $40? This comes with the Wii Remote Jackets, wrist straps, and battery covers in addition to the charger/cradle. So I do think it's probably worth it in the long run, you'd wind up spending more money on batteries eventually if you use your Wii/Wii U often.
