Pokemon Bank has officially released in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand! No words about Pokemon Bank ever going to release in North America.

BS Nintendo of America, we're still waiting....

I know, what is up with that? Nintendo of America seems to have posted that it will come soon on Twitter, but it still isn't there yet. We shouldn't have to wait so long just because it made the eShop have down time on Christmas. It could already have been available for weeks in all regions...

I just downloaded it a minute ago. I might activate it & see how it works out of mild curiosity. xp

By the way, it's also available in other regions of NA outside of the US. Apparently it was only available in the US when I posted previously, sorry if I confused anyone.

And I personally haven't downloaded it yet and probably never will. I'm curious to see if anybody purchased it for $5 though, I know Mega Raichu wanted to get this...

    @Luma
30 day free trial? Really? Then I'll download it just for Celebi. XD I still wish that you could transfer from Gameboy, but that's probably impossible without an adaptor and new cartridge to be made for it, oh well, maybe you'll be able to do it if they ever make it to Virtual Console. That would be interesting...

Haha, I bet you were pleasantly surprised!

Hacked Pokemon can get through unless they seem over hacked, for example "A level 100 Shiny Bulbasaur caught in the wild with perfect stats" likely wont get through.

But if you hacked one that was found in Oak's Lab, had /decent stats/ and wasn't over powered, it'd likely pass. Although I do have a theory that anything from Hoenn, Kanto, Jhoto or Shinoh could be caught anywhere (like, forcing an enounter), because at that point the data is lost as to where it was caught.

Anyway, you can totally get away with having some hackmons on there as long as it's legit looking, so there's hope for people who used AR to get all starters or something.

Zero Revolution wrote:^ No actually, I'm pretty sure that the only reason Poke Transporter is a separate application from the Bank is because you can transfer the Pokemon from the DS games to X and Y using the storage already available in X and Y. But if you download Pokemon Bank, you can transfer them over to the storage in that application instead. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's how it works.

As for me, I own NONE of the DS Pokemon releases, so both apps are useless. XD I just hope you can use them for future Pokemon titles, if I ever get more Pokemon games, I can transfer them from Y.
Ah, how I wish that were true, it would of saved me a lot of time.

Since you didn't use the transporter I'll tell you how it works (unless you already know now, oh well!) You use bank to download the transporter, then on a Gen 5 game it will send "box 1" into a "Transfer box" in Pokemon Bank, so then when you're on bank you can decide what Pokemon goes onto bank or in game.

I guess it's the most convenient of doing it, but when you're transferring Pokemon you KNOW you want in game, it can be annoying.

Also, you likely figured this one out aswell, but Bank isn't based around Gen 5. Players who just own Gen 6 can store pokemon on it too, so bank itself has got a use for you in a way...

Once the 30 free days are up I'll be buying it, £3 for a whole year, you can't go wrong. Plus I think it's going to be like a "Pokemon Premium" deal where Bank Members will get nice things transferred to them every so often.

^ Really? Hm, that's annoying, I feel they should allow you to transfer over Pokemon into the X/Y storage for free, but that GameFreak is always trying to screw you over. Razz XD Oh well, I suppose $5/£3 a year really isn't all that bad. And yes, I do know you can transfer gen 6 Pokemon as well, it would be terrible otherwise. But I'm not playing Y and constantly catching Pokemon in it all that much myself, that's why I'm still not getting it, but I'm sure those who do will enjoy the Bank a lot more than me.

Well, it's all run by Cloud servers, and someone's got to pay them to stay up.

When you think of it that way compared to some of the prices of MMO games and stuff, £3/$5 isn't bad at all.

Aha, also, sorry... I figured you would of known by now, but I thought I'd explain it just incase. I don't think I'd need to catch over the box limit of Pokemon myself tbh, but at the same time it's just a nice organisation tool anyway... could be because I have 4 games though.

Legendary Pokémon giveaways continue with Pokémon Bank exclusives

    Pokemon Bank - Page 2 Pokemon-bank-regi-trio-169-en.0.0

The Pokémon Company is giving away more legendary Pokémon later this week with a special Pokémon Bank campaign. Starting tomorrow, March 4, subscribers to the Nintendo 3DS storage service can download Regice, Regirock and Registeel to any of their Pokémon 3DS games.

Each of the Pokémon comes at level 50 and loaded with a Hidden Ability, making them especially rare. Owners of Pokémon Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, X and Y can use the Pokémon Link feature to get the characters into their games from the Bank app.

First introduced in the third generation of games, "the Regis" are not among the Pokémon being offered in the yearlong anniversary download promotion, which is open to all Pokémon players. They'll only be offered to those who pay the $4.99 annual fee to use Pokémon Bank — or are willing to unlock them in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, in which they can be captured during the main campaign.

The offer is available through Oct. 31. For those without Pokémon Bank, mythical legendary Celebi is currently available to download through the Nintendo Network.
