SHE SOUNDS SO SALTY. I feel like they made the script like that because they're disappointed they have to bring it to another platformer just so it can sell better. I'm definitely not buying it though, I'm content with my Wii U version, it's kind of pointless since there's no real new content.

Re: Super Mario Maker
So that probably explains why they haven't been working on new Mystery Mushroom Costumes lately. This and the Woolly World port are quite infuriating, as if to mock Wii U owners that have purchased and still own these games well before these ports were announced. They obviously want these titles to sell more, which is wise on the 3DS. I'm still very bothered by Hyrule Warriors Legends existence. The only thing that would upset me more is a Captain Toad port with an extra level or two. A sequel or even a new, original game would've been a better thing to develop instead of some port for Wii U game from a consumer's perspective. I'm sure it's great for them, though they're likely not thrilled with the original's sales so I can see why of course.
It doesn't help that this is a little watered down with the lack of Mystery Mushroom costumes and the lack of online course sharing in favor of local play and streetpass. The local collaboration idea isn't a bad idea at all, it's very nice, I'll give them that. The challenge medal idea as well.

Excited for the 3DS port - this means they're most likely going to keep adding stuff into the game hopefully! Who here also hopes for Water/Slopes/Fire and Ice Bros?

Re: Super Mario Maker
^ With NX on the way, I really don't think they're going to continue updating the 3DS version with new content, but of course I could be wrong. I'd love to see slopes and water added, among many other features, though.

Re: Super Mario Maker
I also doubt the 3DS version will add anything new since they already had to remove elements to get the game on the 3DS. I anything we won't get anything new until the likely NX version since that's the version they will want to sell.

Here's the 3DS boxart:
Looks decent, although I prefer the Wii U boxart. Of course it's very similar so it doesn't really matter.

I don't really like how it's just half yellow, it's like a bad powerpoint slide.

Re: Super Mario Maker
^ Yeah, that didn't really strike me at first glance but looking at it there is a lot of yellow there, I feel like it's not nearly as bad with the Wii U boxart because it's longer.

Re: Super Mario Maker
I noticed the "Plays only in 2D" at the bottom. That's kind of lame, although I rarely use the 3D myself. I think it's one of the few to lack 3D features, I can't really recall any others.
I prefer the Wii U boxart myself. The half yellow works much better on the Wii U boxart thanks to all the blue. I think they should've went with one of the other themes instead of New Super Mario Bros U for less detail. I think it would've looked better that way. It's nice how it's different than the Wii U boxart at least.

Re: Super Mario Maker
They should have just want with a full red boxart and based on there being no 3D the game likely has trouble running on the regular 3DS.

Re: Super Mario Maker
Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS will support amiibo?
http://www.nintendo.com/amiibo/games
Nintendo said the mystery mushrooms will not appear in the September Direct. I guess they could be taking about the Mega Mushroom even though you think they would have just said it was still in during the Direct?

Re: Super Mario Maker
Maybe it's just a mistake? You'd think if they weren't including the mystery mushrooms they wouldn't include Amiibo support at all. It doesn't really make much sense to.

Re: Super Mario Maker
A new event course has finally been added that adds the Undodog costume.
So we finally get a new costume after 4 months and I guess it's something for Wii U owners.

Re: Super Mario Maker
I find it really weird that they waited 4 months to add in another costume, but I guess they were just focusing on the 3DS version. Maybe we'll be getting some new Wii U content throughout the next couple months.
