What are your favorite small Nintendo franchises, with only 3-4 entries or less? Obviously Mario, Zelda, Metroid and the like don't count. Razz

I'd have to say my absolute favorite is Pikmin, each game is really well-crafted and designed, and just fun to play. But also Kid Icarus, Advance Wars, and probably Golden Sun. (although I never played much of the games, but they seem really great from what I have played) I know everybody is going to say Xenoblade and Earthbound as well.

I don't think Pikmin is small anymore since Miyamoto said that Nintendo will keep working on Pikmin games.

I will go with Punch Out since it is one of the most underated and it only has fans in the west for the most part. Kid Icarus, Earthbound and Golden Sun are also up there for me.

I definitely agree with Punch Out!! and Pikmin being the best ones. The Punch Out games are fun and very challenging. I think it not being popular might be due to the games being extremely hard but I really enjoy them. Super Punch Out!! is pretty different than the NES and Wii ones but I enjoyed that one just as much because that meter is pretty cool.

Pikmin is also great. Really fun gameplay and exploration. Plenty of things to collect and some interesting strategy involved. Haven't played Pikmin 2 but looks cool too from what I have seen, have to play it eventually. Pikmin 3 was a fairly short but I enjoyed it, it also had a nice mulitplayer mode. That final battle was pretty sweet.

Earthbound as well. Too bad the series came to an end.
