[RUMOR] NX Will Play Nintendo's Mobile Games

Yet another NX rumor from a big publisher (looks like Emily Rogers was right) this time being from the Wall Street Journal. They say that the NX will be able to play Nintendo's mobile games.

I think this makes sense. They want everyone to be able to access these games, so even people that just want to play Nintendo games on Nintendo consoles would be able to play which is nice. Although it worries me that this means NX runs on Android and I certainly hope not.

Android isn't so bad impo, I have an andorid tablet & personally I love it. Still, yea it's interesting to see yet another unconfirmed rumor.. But with the Wall Street Journal backing this one up, Nintendo might as well go ahead & announce the dymn thing now is how I feel. XD

Well if the report says that the system is going to run mobile games, that could also mean that it would be able to run 3DS games as well as possibly the DS titles as well.

^ I hope so! I mean without a disc drive Wii U is out of the question, but I'm really hoping 3DS games are at least still playable. For me personally I never upgraded my 3DS, I've had it since launch day, so it'd be nice to be able to play the games on a newer console.

Oh me too! I wasn't saying android in general is bad, it's a nice OS, but for a game console, especially with Nintendo, I just don't think it's suitable. I just feel like it'd make it feel more like a smart device which I wouldn't really be a fan of.

I doubt Nintendo will still allow anyone to play 3DS games on the NX since they want people to buy them on the eShop and how would most work without a touch screen? Also this means the other rumor is not true since it said the NX would not run on Android.
