Mario Kart 8

How is it dumb? I think Mario Kart 8 is a fine name, just would've been better if they called it something relating to the gravity move. Like Mario Kart Galaxy.

That or just like Mario Kart U.
Just using Roman numerals or something.
But plain 8 just doesn't seem right to me.

I think it does. It especially goes with the logo, being the twisted track to make 8. That might actually be a reason they named it that, instead of just Mario Kart U.

Toadette is back

FINALLY. We've been waiting five entire years for this.

I think Mario Kart 8 is a better name then Mario Kart Wii U or Mario Kart U.

I also think we might get an eight ball item and a cat suit item.

Cat Suit item, more likely super acorn because of NSMBU.
U and Wii U do sound bad yeah, but a racing name or a more advanced name would be better in my opinion.

Cat suit item would make sense, considering Mario 3D World. Although, not sure what it would do, as all you can do with the cat is climb...

Well not really, only Yi really cares so much about Toadette being in it, and you I guess. So we haven't all been wanting her in it so much.

^I don't care about her that much but that long absence wasn't really needed.

Here's the Developer Direct interview for Mario Kart 8. I knew that something like that would be the reason they called the game Mario Kart 8. Glad you can play on the Wii remote and nunchuck, if the Wii U gamepad is too uncomfortable, although it'd be nice if you could still use the GCN controller. (it's not compatible with Wii U obviously)

I guess 8 does make sense then.

I wander if this means that that will also be a Double Dash mode?
I also think Figure 8 Circuit will be a retro track.

I also think the roster will have 30 characters.

Good list, I don't know, I always agree with the character rosters you post on here.

And you wonder if what means there will be a Double Dash mod? He didn't mention anything in the video, as far as I know. (I watched the whole thing) But Double Dash would be cool, I liked Double Dash. 2 characters on one kart is nice.

Looks good, really like how the second stage looks. If all the gamepad has on it is a character's emblem, that kinda sucks. Was hoping for something more interesting on the gamepad, but maybe therte's a separate mode which you can use it for more things.
