That sucks, I was hoping for an April release as well. That also means that unless Bayonetta 2 is planned to be released before Mario Kart 8, then there will be no new Wii U games for two months again...they're going to have to deal with the problem in the first half of 2013 again...

But aside from that the boxart looks pretty cool and a worldwide release is good even if it is in May.

I agree with Yozz, I was also hoping for April. Oh, well, May is my birthday month, so... Razz

Wouldn't it just be funny if it was released on the 15th, my birthday? Also, it better be early in May or on my birthday that it's released, otherwise, I will throw a cat at Nintendo Razz

Well... I doubt that they would just completely abandon her after showing her off at E3.
I think Toadette is still playable. What reason would they have to take her out afterwards?

Does anybody have any ideas for new items they want to see added in Mario Kart 8 or for items that will return that were removed from previous games? Personally I'd like to see Boo return as an item and replace Blooper with the Boo just because it's a pointless item. And perhaps the Cat Suit or Double Cherry could be new items? I'm not sure, I don't have any very creative ideas for new items really.

I don't care for the Koopa Kids but, the new tracks look cool. Also the game is coming out on the 30th.

The Koopa Kids are okay but why waste 7 whole character spots on them? Either way, I never thought I'd say this, but Mario Kart 8 looks AMAZING. I like the MK games but was never a huge fan, this one might change that completely, these new tracks look really fun. The May 30th release date kinda sucks but oh well.

I think there could still be 6 more characters. Diddy, King Boo, Birdo, Bowser Jr, Dry Bones and Dry Bowser or Funky Kong along with the Mii. The Bullet Bill and Spiny Shell return and Mario, Luigi, Peach, Rosalina, Bowser and Yoshi got new artwork.

The Rosalina artwork makes up for her not being in the Koopa Kids trailer and I hope the Bullet Bill returns to being used like in Mario Kart Wii again.

Yeah, that is a shame... Yes, yes, it surely does look incredible! I've never seen such 'out there' graphics, they are just incredible! This is probably going to be the most beautiful game out of all the games for this year. I love how even the retro tracks look all lovely and new, which is lovely! I almost didn't recognise Grumble Volcano, did anyone else see it? Also, I'm so happy to see they haven't kicked Toadette out! Whew! Also, is that rainbow course Rainbow Road or is it just Melody Motorway? Thanks~

Now, I'm ULTRA-HYPED for Mario Kart 8...

And, about the Koopalings, the only one I probably like is Larry Koopa... I hate how they included all 7 of them, probably just to waste some roster spaces.

[sarcasm]Also, I LOVE how they conveniently made Mario Kart 8's release date on May 30th, the day that my school year ends.[/sarcasm]

And finally, now, I'm really worried about whether or not Shy Guy is going to be playable or not in Mario Kart 8.
Because in the trailer, the brief showings of Shy Guy Falls had lots of red and blue Shy Guys.
And in Mario Kart 7, the red Shy Guys didn't show up as much as their colored varieties in the background of a course... or so I believe.

Are you referring to the track at the beginning of the trailer? It looks all new, it definitely doesn't seem to be Music Park/Melody Motorway. But it also doesn't like Rainbow Road...I'm not sure. But I do doubt they'd show off Rainbow Road before the game is released.
