    Are you referring to the track at the beginning of the trailer? It looks all new, it definitely doesn't seem to be Music Park/Melody Motorway. But it also doesn't like Rainbow Road...I'm not sure. But I do doubt they'd show off Rainbow Road before the game is released.


     Yeah, and the one at the end Razz Yeah, it doesn't seem to be. Yeah, true. Well, we'll just have to wait and see!

    For me personally MK isn't about the characters, unlike how it is with say, Smash Brothers.

    So for them to include all the Koopa Kids is kind of nice in a way, I would of been settled and happy if they just had the basics in there, but being able to play as Wendy Koopa will be pretty funny in my opinion. 

    I don't know, maybe I just have more nostalgia and respect for the Koopa Kids because I grew up with games like Mario 3 and Mario World, but they're all a welcome addition to MK in my books.

    Well yeah I totally agree. I feel that it's nice to have some of my favorite characters from Mario be in there like Luigi and Rosalina, but I'm mainly just worried about the tracks and new concepts like the anti-gravity. I didn't enjoy the DS game as much because the tracks weren't interesting, the character roster had nothing to do with it.

    Either way the game looks really fun so I can't wait until it releases.

    I know this is an incredibly stupid and annoying question to ask but when is it likely that we'll hear more news on MK8? Not a Nintendo Direct but just news, like what happened with SM3DW and such. Thanks~

    No doubt we will, there's likely to be more details on the game as we get closer to it's release. This happens for most games so I wouldn't be surprised if more info releases before May 30th.

    Maybe they added the Koopalings since the game is going to have a story mode. Also here's the North America box art and the Analysis video from GameXplain.

    Wait, they said that there will be a story mode, or you're just making a guess that there will be a story mode? I think it would be interesting. The story likely wouldn't be good, but they could have races with different objectives like collecting coins and whatnot, it would be a nice new feature even if it's not as good as the regular races.

    Also the red box is cool, I wonder why it isn't red anywhere outside of NA though...

    They do seem to be changing them up a lot, especially with Mario Circuit from Super Circuit.

    Newegg mentions there will be a track editor in their description for Mario Kart 8:

    Mario Kart 8 Wii U is a new game for the Wii U. It features new elements such as customizing bikes and designing your own tracks. It is the sequel to the game Mario Kart 7.

    Interesting but I'm pretty sure it was already confirmed there will be no track editor. But maybe not, I suppose it could always happen, but if not, retailers should stop putting out so much false information.

    Seeing how much depth is in these tracks, I really don't think a track editor would ever be able to be full and would always just wind up being like the Brawl editor. It's unfortunate because it would be cool to make custom tracks, but it really wouldn't work well.

    PowerA is releasing their version of the Wii Wheel for Mario Kart 8:

    I heard the Wii Wheel wasn't very good in the Wii version, so I'm not going to bother picking this up. But for anybody who liked the Wii Wheel, then this will be pretty cool. It looks more comfortable.

    I always used the Classic Controller Pro.
    I'll most likely use that, the GamePad or Pro Controller, so I won't care about the Wii wheel.
