"Nintendo has confirmed that Wii Party U will be sold with a Wii Remote Plus controller. The party game will also come with a stand for the Wii U GamePad. The bundle’s suggested retail price is $49.99. Although it was initially planned as a summer release, Wii Party U launches in North America on October 25th for Wii U. It will feature over 80 mini-games, including ones that can be played by using just the Wii U GamePad."

Re: Wii Party U
I'm not going to be getting this anyway, but I already have 4 Wii remotes...I guess it'd be good since I only have one Wii Remote Plus controller, but I think it's pointless to bundle the game with the Wii Remote Plus since most people already have them.

Re: Wii Party U
Well I think it's a good idea; being that I only have one Wii motion plus in my house & the other wiimote doesn't have wiimotion plus (as it came with my launch wii) I think it's a great idea. More so if the game requires a wiimotion plus in order for every one to play the game.Zero Revolution wrote:I'm not going to be getting this anyway, but I already have 4 Wii remotes...I guess it'd be good since I only have one Wii Remote Plus controller, but I think it's pointless to bundle the game with the Wii Remote Plus since most people already have them.
I probably won't end up getting the game; but if I was looking for a game to come bundled with a wiimotion plus this would be something I'd look at to get otherwise as wiimotion plus controllers are kind of expensive.

Re: Wii Party U
I guess you're right. And then you could just sell Wii Party U for a slightly lower price...then you'd be getting the Wii Remote for a very low price. (of course that's just assuming you don't like the game)
It is a good deal if you don't have one...but there should be a standalone copy.

Re: Wii Party U
Yea; you'd think that but with most 'Nintendo party' titles have always come with an extra controller since the Wii days. So it's not likely something that Nintendo is going to opt out of doing anytime soon: since it sells so well most likely.

Re: Wii Party U
I still think it would be $50 without the Wii Remote Plus since Wii Party was $50 on the Wii with no remote.
I just want the remote because I mostly use my old white remote that does not have the Wii Motion Plus. I have one black remote with the Motion Plus inside but, my mom makes me put that one in the living room of the other one goes dead.

Re: Wii Party U
Is Wii Motion Plus required for Wii Party U? Because I think they could amake more creative minigames with it than just using regular Wii Remotes.

Here are some new scans here.
It seems like there's more boards this time and it looks like you can win outfits for you Mii.

Re: Wii Party U
They might just be different sections of the same board.
None of those minigames look that interesting, I'm still not planning to ever get this game.

Re: Wii Party U
Gameplay of the house party minigames.
They look decent but, I likely won't play them if I get the game.

Re: Wii Party U
Here's a new trailer.
The trailer looks cool and now I hope Nd Cube has a new Mario Party Island Tour trailer to go up soon.

Re: Wii Party U
I don't but I've seen it, it looks fun if you're playing with 4 people, otherwise, not so much. They do have a few interesting 1 vs. 3 minigames though using the Wii U Gamepad, which is nice.

Re: Wii Party U
It's better with more players but, it's still good by yourself. Since most of the mini-games are good and some of the tabletop games can be played with a computer player. The tv party mode is also good for what it is minus Gamepad Island since you need to pass around the gamepad to other human players and there's tons of drawing in the line to move on.
