Spoiler tag added for those who've not played, but this is basically about the first real thing you do in the game.
What did you think of this moment? I thought it was decent, but a little bit anti-climactic, I mean, a bit of explanation would of been nice!
- Spoiler:
- So in this part of the game Shyguys have taken over the castle... for some reason they're on pogo sticks, maybe to give them that added "threat".
You had to help out many of the Toads around the Mushroom Kingdom, I quite like games that really interact with the NPCs, makes it feel more real when they react to what's going on. There was a Toad Trapped in his house in the image below.
We then moved into the castle where of course the councilor Toad needed help from... more ShyGuys. At this point I lost hope in seeing more enemies for this section of the game...
With just these two Toads keeping me from saving the day, I figured there really wasn't much to this, I kind of just wanted to know why there were so many Shyguys lurking around at this point...
So, it turns out this mixture of Zebedee from The Magic Roundabout and Heman's sword was behind all this, not sure why he wanted to invade the castle without the princess in it anyway, but oh well.
At this point I think I really discovered how to use Mallow, but that's for a another thread... I got some things to say about that guy.- Spoiler:
Even though this guy had some flashy moves, he was pretty weak and easy to beat... It wasn't too exciting, nor really satisfying to do...
...and even with all them Shyguys I beat ontop of the boss... he was only worth 12 EXP... that's pretty poor.
Now this moment I have no idea about, did I miss something? I didn't even know we were after stars!?
So, I was kind of wondering, as Mallow had his coin now... why was he still lurking around? I guess this is why...
I suppose I did something... special. Why don't it feel like it? Probably because the game has yet to explain what the hell these swords things are and why I'm fighting them... and why that one wanted to crash in The Princess' castle
