I think they could probably find a way to make this one a lot more unique than the others by using the gamepad. Like, maybe there could be touch screen powers where you have to use the touch screen to do some special attack, or something like that. But maybe also something more creative, but I have no other ideas atm. :/

I think Sakurai mentioned something about older Nintendo characters making their mark on this.

Can't see how Stanley the Bugman would work to be honest. DK Jr maybe but I think he'd be too clone like. Little Mac would work well, actually Punch Out characters in general could.

Other series.. probably too obscure to really appeal to any fans I guess. :L

Bamco adding PAC-MAN to SFxTK was atrocious on their part, worse IMO than Capcom adding Bad Box Art Mega Man >.<

Would Yuri Lowell be more popular in the West than Lloyd? Otherwise they could do a FE and put some character that few people in the west know but the Japanese fan base love (don't know who though...)

Lyn would suit a retro styled Smash, Chrom might work in the WiiU version if that's modern stuff. same deal with Palutena for the WiiU game (she was just a damsel in distress in the NES era, lordy)

I think the game pad should be used like the touch screen on the 3DS in Super Street Fighter IV. I wouldn't really use it though.

This sounds dumb.

I feel like this would be a game for the pro controller, like the gamecube one. I mean it's always possible for the single screen to get used, but it seems more of a single player mechanic to it for stage builder and stuff. Ah well all I hope for is that the adventure mode is more like SSBM's in style, but SSBB's in length.

I don't think they did. There was some rumor about a few of the stages being leaked, I'll have to go find it again though. (I sware I posted it...)

I don't think Sakurai even announced Smash Bros. Wii U, it's all just rumours here. It's likely it's gonna be Smash 3DS next.

They announced both at e3 2012. Nothing about them though.
