I have a Wii Classic Controller, so I'd assume it's also compatible.

And why do you think a Mario Sunshine sequel would be on the 3DS? I think this is probably better suited for the 3DS with the Sunshine sequel on Wii U instead. (I mean, 3D Land was on 3DS...)

Super Mario Sunshine would be on the 3DS because Nintendo is playing it safe right now.

That's why they made the game like 3D Land because it helped them move more 3DS units. So they think it could help them move more Wii U units.

I still think we will get levels based off of Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and the Galaxy games.

Also who knows there could be a Super Mario Sunshine 2 or a Galaxy 3 for Wii U in a few years.

I think that is the exact reason why they didn't do a Sunshine 2.

I'd rather it just be a new mode of gameplay type entirely, there's not much need for a second sunshine or third galaxy or another NSMB. The gameplay itself is clearly supposed to be like a multiplayer version of the Mario Land 3D, so far it doesn't look too bad, but at the same time it doesn't look all that special.

Well, I never said I would've wanted a sequel...just something more like 64 and Sunshine, instead of the levels all being linear like it's a 3D NSMB game instead of something that's actually new. And in this they're also making it so that it's all retro, Peach having her floating ability from Super Mario Bros. 2 USA, and everything else. I'd rather it not be that way, and just be something totally new. I think they even mentioned something about it being "new" and "completely different from other Mario games" but it's just like 3D Land instead.

But of course multiplayer is nice. They probably just could've done multiplayer in a different way for a different type of game. No type of game is specifically suited for multiplayer imo.

I wanted a new style of 3D Mario as much as the next person But, I will live with Super Mario 3D World because it is mixing the old with the new. Like how Peach and Toad have there Mario 2 powers when then could have just pulled a New Super Mario Bros were then play like Mario. They might also bring Wart back and give Bowser some time off, Even though Bowser and his crew will likely be in this game.

I think Yoshi will be in this considering it's called Super Mario 3D World.

The boss doesn't even seem Mario like, but it does look cool. How are you even supposed to beat it? Also looks like not all of the warp pipes are actually transparent. The one with all the transparent pipes looks fun though.

I agree Gameguy to an extent. Some of these just look like NSMB though...

Also, the frog suit is returning.

Frog Suit, came useful at points in SMB3.
I wonder if they'll have a P-Cat or something...

P-Cat? Well if they do have something like that, it'll likely be the P-Bell as it's a bell that you get in order to transform into a cat. Either that or they'll just bring back the P-Wing, they still have the Tanooki suit in this game so it would make sense.

The P-Bell would likely take you to the end of the level.

I think there will be a golden cat mario power up that helps the less skilled players beat the level.
The cape might also appear in the hidden worlds if there are any.
I also think the Hammer suit or the Boomerang suit will be back.
I don't know about the Mega Mushroom because it was only used in the handheld New Super Mario Bros games.

Also Peach was almost not playable.

Super Mario 3D World producer Yoshiaki Koizumi says that the decision to bring Princess Peach back as a playable character — after a very long hiatus — was a deliberate one.
"I feel like Mario games, as you know, have done lots of representation of male characters over the years," he told Polygon. "Perhaps much more so than female — so it's actually really nice to be able to have a female playable character in the game."
Princess Peach hasn't been a playable character in main series Super Mario title since her 1988 debut in Super Mario Bros. 2. While she has appeared as a playable character in most of the series' spin-off franchises, such as Super Smash Bros, she's been on the sidelines — and often kidnapped — in Mario's main adventures.

Game director Koichi Hayashida revealed that Peach wasn't in the original plans for the game, but Koizumi brought up the idea and told the team that they should "definitely" include her.
"I think she adds a lot to the sense of competition when you get in multiplayer," said Koizumi. "You can have different people choosing different characters based on their personality or whoever they like. And princess Peach is just really a lot of fun to play!"

The real reason was probably just like NSMB, they didn't want to spend time designing her dress. :PIt is nice to be able to actually play as her though, I think that some Peach fans would enjoy that...plus for the hard levels, her floating ability would be good.

Oh and yes, the cape should be back. The have some elements of Super Mario World in there so...that would make sense.
