I find that hilarious considering Michel Ancel has said in the past he hates Mario. XD Kind of ironic, but I guess I'll still end up playing his level when I get the game, should be interesting.

You can unlock the ability to create your own sound effects:

New sound effects and music block customisation – You can create your own sound effects in Super Mario Maker, with some sounds even generating fun visuals! And by shaking a classic Note Block during level creation, it becomes a Music Block. When something activates one of these Music Blocks, it will play a note based on its height, allowing players to arrange songs of all types.

That's cool and all, but really not as great as having a background music editor. That would've been a really great addition...oh well.

Daily unlocking system is the only bummer, but I can see why it's done (they should have made the unlock time a lot sooner instead of daily imo but 9 days isn't going to kill me).

Really excited to see some of the levels created with the Musical Blocks and SFX blocks available!

...however am I the only one who gets the feeling there's going to be a disco party on 90% of the levels now...?

Also the new trailer they showed announcing these things :

I kind of like how you can't use every tool at once since it helps newer maker players jump in and maybe you can just set the clock forward to avoid waiting. The music thing can also be solved by playing your own.

I really don't mind the daily editor tool changes, people make way too big a deal out of things like that. It allows you to get used to the tools available.

But the game has been 100% confirmed to be full price now, and I'm just not going to take the plunge. I know, $60 isn't all the money in the world, but it's not worth spending on this. It really isn't. I think the game looks great, but it doesn't seem like it should be priced so high.

Here's all the Cursors, A Metroid style level and part 1 of the Q and A .

I will use the Mario Cursor and it sucks the Metroid level will be pulled when Nintendo removes the media versions of the game.

I honestly like the cursor hand since it's the least intrusive one lol

^ I don't see how any of them are intrusive being that you're not even going to be seeing them while you're making the levels on the Gamepad.

As someone who might probably be looking back and forth between the TV and the gamepad when creating stuff, I'd definitely prefer the Mario Paint hand myself for this.
(That comes as a reaction from when I played the Yoshi game in Nintendo Land too much though Razz)

^ I mean, that hand only shows up on the TV while you're placing things. I'd assume you wouldn't be looking at the TV at the exact same time as placing something, right? Otherwise I suppose it would be a bit annoying.

Honestly that's not a horrible commercial, definitely not as memorable as the Splatoon one, but it's also not as bad so it's a good thing. Razz

This is why I never really watch commercials from Nintendo anymore. It's like they're trying to ruin the experience. Razz

Good thing I already pre-purchased it though so I'm getting it regardless.
