^Yea & there was also a lack of Wii U games talked about too; besides Splatoon & Xenobalde Chronicles X (Starfleet Academy X xp).

Re: Nintendo 3DS
^ Well, just from what was shown in the Direct, yeah there weren't many Wii U games. But considering we already know about at least 6 major Wii U games releasing next year that weren't even shown in the Direct, I don't think we have to worry about that. (that's of course not counting the ones shown in the Direct, there's around 11 big Wii U games next year we know about)

Re: Nintendo 3DS
Have any of you bought any of the 3DS themes from the Theme Shop yet?
I haven't, but that new Pikmin theme with the Bulborb looks pretty cool. But I still don't really like the $2 price point just for a theme.

Don't see a reason to.
Just themes.
Games should come with free download codes for themes.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
I downloaded the free Sonic Boom theme. idk I thought that it was kind of more distracting with so much music & crap going on with it. I'd rather have a normal theme with out all that crap going on anyway.

^ Yeah, I do think some of the themes look like they'd just be distracting or annoying to have on. But some of the simpler themes are really cool in my opinion.

I bought one of the Smash themes since I like how it has all of the characters lined up.

I'll probably invest in one of the cheapo .99 cent themes after Christmas is over most likely. xp

Re: Nintendo 3DS
A new update is live.
Changes to the HOME Menu:
A Shuffle Favorites feature has been added under Change Theme in HOME Menu Settings. Users can choose multiple themes and have their theme change when the system is left in Sleep Mode from the HOME Menu or turned on after being off
Available software updates can now be downloaded from the HOME Menu
Users can now capture screenshots with both the upper and lower screens included
Improvements to system stability and usability:
Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience
Link
That's cool how you can now download the updates on the home menu.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
Nice, I was actually hoping they would have a shuffle option for the themes at some point. I think it's more fun to have a random theme show up when you turn on your 3DS than just always using the same ones.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
I like the sound of that Shuffle favorites feature. I think I'll get a couple of themes to make things more interesting when I start my 3DS up. I have seen the Skyward Sword theme available so I will definitely get that and the A Link Between Worlds one and have them shuffle between the two, maybe throw another one in the mix. Pretty cool update.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
Apparently, behind the scenes, the update also blocks most areas of the Homebrew Launcher app that is in the works by hackers!
I don't hack, so I very much support Nintendo here. I'm glad they're actively looking for ways to block things like this from happening, unlike with DS and Wii. They're doing a much better job with 3DS and Wii U, both of which have been out at least 2 years without any hackers really managing to get in for long.
Speaking of which, the 3DS has been out for almost 4 years now. O_o Wow.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
^ That's a little different considering it's a cartridge for cheat codes, that's not really what I meant, but I guess you're still right. But for the most part, they have locked out most hackers from actually hacking the 3DS and Wii U themselves.
